Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a gas insulation vacuum circuit breaker by enhancing withstand voltage without enlarging the radius of curvature of an electric field relaxation electrode. SOLUTION: In a gas insulation vacuum circuit breaker in which insulation gas is filled and which is provided with a vacuum valve equipped with an insulation vessel and electric field relieving electrodes the end portions of which are arranged at both ends of the insulation vessel apart by gas gap G, a quasi- uniform electric field is set to have 0.35 or more of utilization factor U which is obtained by the equation U=R/ 0.9(R+G)} based on the radius of curvature R of an electric field relieving electrode 16a outer peripheral face and the gas gap G, and a coating 23a made of insulation material is formed on one half or more of the outer peripheral face except a part opposite to the insulation vessel 13 on the electric field relaxation electrode 16a.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increas breakdown voltage against impulse voltage and perform miniaturization, by forming a metal coating of high electric breakdown voltage in the periphery of an electrode, in a vacuum valve provided with an arc shield between the electrode and an insulating cylinder. SOLUTION: A coating film 11A of tungten is formed in the pariphery of an upper/lower coil electrode 10, a thin reformed layer 13 is formed in an internal surface of an insulating cylinder 1. The electrode 10 coated with tungsten displays a breakdown impulse voltage characteristic about 1.9 times as compared with a copper base electrode, a creeping breakdown voltage characteristic of the layer 13 displays a characteristic of about 1.4 times as compared with in the past. Here, impurity gas in the vicinity of a solid surface of ceramic is fused to be removed by an ion beam, also crystal organization of ceramic is fined. Consequently, even when an electron emitted from a shield 12 collides against the internal surface of the cylinder 1, impurity gas is prevented from being emitted, so to make tracking difficult to extend in the internal surface of the cylinder 1, creeping insulation performance is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve insulating properties, and to enhance reliability by directly coupling a vessel housing an absorbent such as porous activated carbon with a vacuum vessel and cooling the vessel by liquid nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive element 4 is housed into a vessel 6 for liquid nitrogen 5 and cooled, and the vessel 6 is further stored into a vacuum vessel 7 through a vacuum layer. The vacuum vessel 7 is connected to a vessel 10 being installed through a valve 9 and housing an absorbent 10a such as porous activated carbon, and the adsorbent 10a is stored into a liquid nitrogen vessel 11 mounted outside the vessel 10, and cooled at a temperature of approximately the boiling point of liquid nitrogen. Accordingly, even when a gas absorbed to the metallic surface of the vacuum vessel 7, etc., and the surface of an insulator is discharged into the vacuum vessel 7, the gas is absorbed physically to the absorbent 10a, thus maintaining the inside of the vacuum vessel 7 under the state of a high vacuum.
