Abstract: In a rendering device 10, ROM 4 stores a vehicle model. A rudder angle sensor 3 detects a rudder angle of the vehicle, and based thereon, CPU 6 calculates an estimated path for the vehicle. The CPU 6 receives captured images from cameras 21 to 2N. The CPU 6 generates a display image based on those captured images, the estimated path, and the vehicle model. This display image includes the vehicle model arranged on the estimated path, and displayed on a display device 8 placed in the vehicle. In this manner, the display image generated by the rendering device 10 is indicative and helpful for a driver of the vehicle to exactly figure out a parking space available for the vehicle.

Abstract: A printed circuit board is provided with a plurality of insulator layers and a plurality of conductor layers, and an outermost conductor layer has a plurality of foot patterns in outer and inner rows for mounting a BGA component and signal patterns. The width of at least a part of the signal pattern extending from the foot pattern in the outer row is greater than the width of the signal pattern extending from the foot pattern in the inner row. The printed circuit board further includes a protection layer for covering the signal patterns on the outermost conductor layer, and the protection layer has openings each for permitting the foot pattern to be exposed. At least a portion of the signal pattern appearing in the opening is widened.

Abstract: An optical-signal/electric-signal converting device communications system for a communications system that establishes communications using electric and optical signals. The converting device converts an electric transmission signal into an optical transmission signal and an optical transmission signal into an electric transmission signal. The converting device includes an electric signal receiving circuit for receiving the electric transmission signal transmitted from the host computer of the communications system through an electric transmission line, and a modulating circuit for modulating the electric signal sent from the electric signal receiving circuit into a pulse signal having pulses of a smaller width. The converting device also includes an optical signal receiving circuit for receiving the optical transmission signal from the optical transmission line of the system and converting the received signal into an electric signal using a light-receiving element, and a demodulation circuit for demodulating the electric signal received from the optical signal receiving circuit into a pulse signal having pulses of a larger width.

Abstract: An optical communications device is disclosed which is equipped with a transmission unit adapted to send binary-coded electrical pulse signals to another optical communications device in the form of optical pulse signals. The transmission unit includes a modulator for producing an electrical pulse signal of a narrow pulse width only at each of rising and falling edges in the binary-coded electrical pulse signals and an electro-optic converter for converting the electrical pulse signal of a narrow pulse width into an optical pulse signal of a narrow pulse signal. As an alternative, the transmission unit includes a modulator which produces an electrical pulse signal of a narrow pulse width for each bit in the binary-coded electrical pulse signals only when it is at a high level and an electro-optic converter which converts the electrical pulse signal of a narrow pulse width into an optical pulse signal of a narrow pulse width.
