Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery excellent in battery cycle characteristic and such battery characteristics as electric capacity and charge storing characteristics. SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte has an electrolyte dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains tert-butylbenzene or its inducer. It is used for manufacturing a lithium secondary battery of which a discharge capacity maintenance ratio is at least 90.1% after fifty cycles of charging/discharging operation in which charging is performed for five hours until a final voltage 4.2V with a constant current and constant voltage at 20°C and then discharging is performed until a final voltage 2.7V with the constant current. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery, having superior battery characteristics such as a cycle characteristics, electric capacity, and storage characteristics of a battery. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte solution, having an electrolyte dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent, contains 0.001 to 5% by weight of at least one of disulfide derivatives, such as bis(4-methoxyphenyl)disulfide, and 0.01 to 10% by weight of at least one selected from among a compound group A, consisting of methyl 2-propynyl carbonate, methanesulfonic acid 2-propynyl, 1,3-propane sultone, divinyl sulfone and 1,4-butanediol dimetane sulfonate. The lithium secondary battery uses this nonaqueous electrolytic solution.

SOLUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte dissolves an electrolytic salt in a non-aqueous solvent, wherein an octane derivative represented by a following formula I is contained in the non-aqueous electrolyte: where, R1 represents alkyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms, alkenyl group of 2-6 carbon atoms, alkynyl group of 2-6 carbon atoms cycloalkyl group of 3-6 carbon atoms or aryl group. R2 represents alkyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms, alkenyl group of 2-6 carbon atoms, alkynyl group of 2-6 carbon atoms cycloalkyl group of 3-6 carbon atoms, aryl group, acyl group of 2-10 carbon atoms alkanesulfonyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms, arylsulfonyl group of 6-10 carbon atoms or ester group of 2-10 carbon atoms. Also, the lithium secondary cell using the non-aqueous electrolyte is provided.
