Abstract: A device for the chemical analysis of solid or molten material samples, based on laser-induced emission spectroscopy, including a laser source generating a laser beam, a deflection device deflecting the laser beam, a focusing device focusing the laser beam, a device that guides the reflections of a plasma ignited by the laser beam on the material sample to an evaluation device. To arrange the laser source and the evaluation device remotely from the material sample, an arm having at least one movable joint and a cavity for the laser beam is provided between the laser source and the material sample for guiding the laser beam. The deflection device is shaped as a mirror or a prism and is provided at the articulation of the arm, whereby the laser source and the evaluation device are arranged to be independent of the material sample in terms of their movements.

Abstract: FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: plant 24 to win iron melt, steel melt in particular, such as refined steel is equipped with vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace, vessel 3 for remelt located behind vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace and linked with it by trough 34 which changes to bottom of remelt vessel due to partial downward inclination. Vessel 3 has oxygen supplying device 35, 36, tap 41 for iron melt positioned close to its end most distant from electric-arc furnace. Plant also has filtering-off vessel 2 placed behind vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace and having common bottom with it. Vessel 2 has slag tap 43 situated by its end most distant from vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace, device 21 feeding liquid pig iron 20 and opening to vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace, stack 5 of preliminary heating to feed hard iron carriers 7. Stack of preliminary heating is located above vessel 1 and opens to vessel 1 through its lid 4 and gas-penetrable cooling and isolating device 6, to loading stack 10 located above vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace that opens to vessel 1 with the use of gas-impenetrable cooling and isolating device 11. Process of winning of iron melt includes loading of 20-70% of liquid pig iron of total amount of loaded iron carriers into vessel 1 of electric-arc furnace, loading of preheated scrap and hard lump iron carriers containing part of iron oxide, for instance, sponge iron, ore reduced in advance, compacted dust, etc. Iron melt flowing through vessel 3 for remelt is subjected to uninterrupted remelting and simultaneous heating in vessels 1 and 3. Slag flowing in direction opposite to melt flow is continuously reduced with regard to its FeO component and cooled simultaneously. Abstract: To be able to produce metal melts using any metal carriers incurring in metallurgical practice as the charging materials, namely in the most diverse quantitative compositions, a plant for producing metal melts is provided with the following characteristic features:an electric arc furnace vessel (1) provided with one charging opening (11, 21) for a metal melt and/or scrap and/or direct reduced metal, in particular direct reduced iron, and/or ore and at least one electrode (16) and one slag tapping means (22),an oxygen-blowing converter vessel (3) provided with one melt tapping means (41),wherein the oxygen-blowing converter vessel (3) and the electric arc furnace vessel (1) form a unit which is connected via an overflow weir (34) and which is rigidly mounted on the foundation and,wherein the bath surface related specifically to the bath volume is smaller in the oxygen-blowing converter vessel (3) than in the electric arc furnace vessel (1) andthe oxygen-blowing converter vessel (3) shares a common reaction space with the electric arc furnace vessel (1), which space is arranged above the bath level of these vessels. Abstract: In order to profitably process various iron ores having different compositions, a plant for producing iron smelts (24), in particular steel smelts, such as crude steel smelts, has an electric arc furnace vessel (1) and a refiner vessel (3) joined to the furnace vessel (1) by a weir (34). The refiner vessel (3) has an at least partially sloping down bottom, starting from the weir (34), an oxygen supply (35, 36) and an iron smelt discharge aperture (41) arranged in its end area opposite the furnace vessel (1). A decantation vessel (2) follows the furnace vessel (1) and shares therewith a common bottom (18). The end area of the decantation vessel (2) opposite the furnace vessel (1) has a slag discharge aperture (43). A liquid pig iron (20) supply (21) opens into the furnace vessel (1). A solid iron ore (7) preheating shaft (5) arranged above the furnace vessel (1) opens into the furnace vessel (1) through its lid (4) and is closed by a gas-permeable, cooled shut-off device (6). A charging shaft (10) arranged above the furnace vessel (1) opens into the furnace vessel (1) and is closed by a gas-tight, cooled shut-off device.
