Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system having telecentric chief rays. SOLUTION: A system for eliminating differential scan line bow from raster output scanners aligns at least the chief exit ray of each scanning light beam with a system axis. By aligning the chief exit rays to be essentially parallel to the system axis, the overall bow is reduced. As a result, bent scan lines, from different stations in a multi-station printer or from different passes in a multi-pass printer, are substantially identical and aligned. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge an optional laser position along a scanning line and to perform excellent spot positioning by providing a positioning device for moving an apparent source inside a light emitting device. SOLUTION: Light from a light source 104 is coupled to a flexible waveguide 112. One end part of the flexible waveguide 112 is attached to a fixed plate 114 and closely coupled to a laser stripe 106 and the other end part of the flexible waveguide 112 is attached to a movable plate 108. The apparent source 102 is arranged at a position for emitting a light beam from the end part of the flexible waveguide 112 attached to the movable plate 108. The movable plate 108 is connected to actuators 110 and 111, the actuator 110 adjusts the movable plate 108 in a sagittal direction and the actuator 111 adjusts the movable plate 108 in an axial direction.
