Abstract:
A hand cart includes a handlebar, a handlebar holder, a handlebar sensor, and a drive mechanism. The handlebar has a right grip and a left grip at ends of the handlebar in a lengthwise direction. The handlebar holder supports the handlebar while permitting displacement of the handlebar relative to the handlebar holder within a specific range. The handle sensor is configured and arranged to sense the displacement of the handlebar. The drive mechanism is configured to perform power assist according to sensing result of the handle sensor.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an adjustable bed handheld remote control that may include a handheld housing, a touch sensor on a front face of the handheld housing, a transmitter and the like. The touch sensor may be presented in a slider form and may be adapted to facilitate a user in adjusting a frame position of an adjustable bed. The transmitter may be electrically coupled to a processor and may receive input from the touch sensor, for communication control signals to the adjustable bed in accordance with the input received from the touch sensor.
Abstract:
A device for stimulating eye movement in a subject is presented. Stimulating eye movement through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) allows the processing of information and elimination of negative body sensations. In an embodiment, a mechanical device is presented in which a physical object is attached to a motion mechanism which moves horizontally from left to right. In another embodiment, an electrical device is presented in which a computer-simulated object travels horizontally across a visual component. In a further embodiment, a computer software application is presented to track eye movements. The subject tracks the movement of the object with his eyes for a specific number of cycles in order to eliminate negative body sensations such as post-traumatic stress disorder. The device of the present invention may be used for sensation processing by the general public and may be used for ART by a trained therapist.
Abstract:
An upper limb training apparatus for training the upper limb of a trainee includes a fixed frame, a movable frame, a tilting resistance applying mechanism, an operation rod, and a Z axis motor. The fixed frame can be placed on a floor surface. The movable frame is supported by the fixed frame to be able to tilt in all directions from a first tilting center. The tilting resistance applying mechanism applies resistance to the tilting action of the movable frame. The operation rod is attached to the movable frame, and is operated by the trainee by hand. The operation rod can extend and contract in the vertical direction toward or away from the floor surface. The Z axis motor is arranged in a position closer to the floor surface than the first tilting center, and extends and contracts the operation rod.
Abstract:
An upper limb training apparatus includes a training apparatus main body that includes a base frame, and an operation rod to be operated by a trainee by hand. A chair is positioned in a right or in a left arm training position relative to the training apparatus main body. A monitor stand extends upward from the base frame. A monitor arm is provided in the monitor stand, and supports the monitor such that the position of the monitor can be adjusted in both right and left directions.
Abstract:
A steam generator for sauna device enabling a steam sauna in a sauna room, the steam generator comprising: a water tank; a steam tank with a heating device for heating water and generating steam, and a steam releasing hole for supplying steam to an external sauna room; a connecting tube installed between the water tank and the steam tank; and an air pressure equalizing tube installed between the water tank and the steam tank for a path for the steam in the steam tank to move into water of the water tank equalizing air pressure of the steam tank and the water tank. The heating device can generate steam rapidly with less energy and increases the thermal efficiency.
Abstract:
It consists of an equipment (1) for passive stretching of the structures of the spine; constituted by auto-portable structure (2) endowed of superior moto-reducer set (3) with pulley (4) passible of moving, upwards or downwards, an one-line connection element (5) to be fastened to a garment (V) placed in the spill of the hip of the user, with central catch (6), being such moto-reducer set (3) activated by remote control (7) and course limited by sensor (S).
Abstract:
A hot-Acupressure and Massage machine provides conforming to the individual user's spinal shape and accommodating capability for a range of user heights. A hot-Acupressure and Massage machine has a heat-transmitter module that reciprocates under the user's back with the following provisions: a support surface, a module with a total compliance means to the spine by including a ball-socket mechanism and actuator(s), a variable compression means to the user's back from the module to allow the user to choose compressions levels for both effectiveness and comfort, a set of raised pads to help align a user to the module, a slidable headrest that adjusts to the user's height, an elevated support surface for the thighs and feet, and a belt to treat the chest, abdominal, joints, and hip areas.
Abstract:
This invention concerns a method for providing a massage, especially to the back areas of persons who have to sit for a relatively long time on seats, especially motor-vehicle seats. This massage is achieved in accordance with the invention by a periodic or a continuous motion of massage elements placed in the seat surface and/or in the backrest, in a forward and backward and/or up and down direction, with this motion being within the range of sitting surfaces and/or back surfaces of such persons. The invention also concerns a device for the implementation of the method, which is located in a seat, especially in a motor-vehicle seat, having a supporting element (1) that is positioned on the frame of the seat portion and/or on the frame of the backrest and that can be bowed out by means of a motor drive for the purpose of supporting body surfaces of a person According to the invention, every supporting element (1) bears massage elements (6), and in addition to its arching movement is able to be moved up and down or forward and back, whereby at least this additional motion is accomplished by a motor drive in a periodic or continuous fashion by means of a switching arrangement.
Abstract:
A massaging apparatus comprises a pair of massaging wheels obliquely and eccentrically attached to a main shaft, a shifting mechanism for shifting the massaging wheels and main shaft in the direction of the length of a chair back rest or a bed, and a spacing changing mechanism for changing the spacing between the massaging wheels. The apparatus is designed to detect the position of the pair of massaging wheels and the spacing therebetween. It further comprises position selecting switches associated with the neck, shoulders, back and waist of the human body. When any one of these position selecting switches is operated, the shifting mechanism and the spacing changing mechanism as well as the rotative direction of the main shaft are automatically controlled in accordance with the detected shifted position and spacing of the massaging wheels.
