A vehicle suspension assembly that includes first and second main beams each having a first end operably coupled to a vehicle frame, and a second end having a cavity formed therein, and first and second extension members each having an aperture extending therethrough, wherein the first and second extensions are interference-fit within and extend outwardly from the cavity of the first and second main beams, respectively. The assembly further including a torsion member having apertured first and second ends that receive the first and second extension members therein, and threaded mechanical fasteners extending through the apertures of the first and second extension members and engage nuts that are frictionally engaged by the first and second main beams.

An adjustable stabilizer bar assembly is disclosed. An adjustable stabilizer bar assembly includes a cylindrical housing, a first primary half bar, a splined cylindrical housing, a second primary half bar, a splined torsion bar and a slidable assembly. The primary and secondary half bars are mounted to a vehicle suspension via the cylindrical housings. The splined torsion bar is disposed between the two cylindrical housings. The assembly allows for adjustable multi-rate stabilization means made by either the driver or an automatic control system, which may sense vehicle velocity, lateral acceleration or any other suitable operating variable.

A suspension system for vehicle wheels is disclosed including a tubular spring, a link arm for connecting a wheel frame for mounting the wheel to a vehicle body to the wheel spindle carrying the wheel itself, the link arm disposed at one end of the tubular spring and a stabilizer disposed inside the tubular spring and adapted to protrude from the end of the tubular spring.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verbundlenkerachse (1) für ein Kraftfahrzeug mit zwei in Fahrzeugquerrichtung voneinander beabstandeten Längslenkern (2; 3), mit einer sich in Fahrzeugquerrichtung zwischen den Längslenkern erstreckenden und mit diesen im Bereich ihrer beiden Enden starr verbundenen Querstrebe (8), die ein tordierbares, biegesteifes Profil mit einer sich in ihrer Längsrichtung erstreckenden Ouerstrebenöffnung (9) aufweist, und mit einem sich entlang der Querstrebe (8) erstreckenden Stabilisator (10), der zumindest teilweise im Inneren des Profils der Querstrebe (8) angeordnet ist und zum Verbinden mit den Längslenkern (2; 3) im Bereich seiner beiden Stabilisatorenden (11) formschlüssig und lösbar in eine jeweilige Ausnehmung (13) eingreift, die eine Öffnung (14) aufweist, über die das Stabilisatorende (11) ein- und ausführbar ist, wobei sich die Öffnung (14) zumindest einer der beiden Ausnehmungen (13) annähernd quer zur Längsrichtung des Längslenkers und annähernd quer zur Längsrichtung der Ouerstrebenöffnung (8) erstreckt, so dass der Stabilisator (10) über die Ouerstrebenöffnung (9) ein- und ausbaubar ist.

This invention concerns a leaf spring suspension, of semi-independent suspension type, including a twist beam (2) which consists of at least two leaf springs (1) made of polymeric material with non-aligned fibres, in. a quarter elliptical configuration, a spring (1) with one end attached to a twist bar (2) and another end (4) to a chassis (7) or sub-chassis (8).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for a wheel suspension for a vehicle, comprising a substantially tubular spring means (4), a link arm (5) arranged at respective end of the spring means (4), which is fastened between a frame element (2) and a wheel spindle (7) which carries a wheel (9), and a stabilizer (30) for dampening of swaying movements of the vehicle. The invention is characterized in that said stabilizer (30) is arranged to protrude inside said spring means (4). Through the invention an improved arrangement for wheel suspension is provided, which allows a straightforward and space-saving installation of the stabilizer (30).
