Abstract:
An elevator system includes a first elevator car (28) constructed and arranged to move in a first lane (30, 32, 34) and a first propulsion system (40) constructed and arranged to propel the first elevator. An electronic processor of the elevator system is configured to selectively control power delivered to the first propulsion system (40). The electronic processor includes a software-based power estimator configured to receive a first weight signal and a nm trajectory signal for calculating a power estimate and comparing the power estimate to a maximum power allowance. The electronic processor is configured to output an automated command signal if the power estimate exceeds the maximum power allowance.
Abstract:
An elevator group control system for controlling multiple elevators cars each of which serves a plurality of floors includes a route preparation section which, at a time of assigning a hall call to one of the elevator cars, calculates a future trajectory for each of the elevator cars. The future trajectory for each elevator is for a case in which the hall call is assigned to the elevator car. A selecting unit which determines a selected one of the elevator cars to which the hall call is to be assigned using the calculated future trajectories.
Abstract:
An elevator group control system includes a reference route generating portion, which for each elevator, generates a reference route which the elevator should follow with respect to the time axis and position axis; and an assignment portion which selects an elevator for assignment to a generated hall call so as to make the actual trajectory of each elevator closer to its reference route. Reference routes which guide the cage's trajectory into temporally equal interval condition are generated, and car assignment is executed to allow the cages to settle in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time.
Abstract:
A system for controlling elevator cars in a building having a plurality of floors includes a group controller for controlling operation of the elevator cars. The group controller predicts lobby single source traffic for determined periods. When the predicted traffic is below certain limit, cars are assigned to a lobby hall call on demand after hall call registration. When the predicted traffic is above certain limit, cars are assigned to the lobby hall call at intervals. Accordingly, car assignment is scheduled at those intervals. The schedule interval is varied based on predicted traffic and predicted round trip time of the cars. The cars are assigned to hall calls if they arrive within a schedule window. The schedule window comprises a lower and an upper tolerance that are selected around a scheduled time.
Abstract:
A system including a group controller for controlling the dispatching of elevator cars in a building. The group controller operates by using control parameters stored in its memory. The system records car loads of cars leaving the lobby and the time intervals between their departures and uses fuzzy logic to categorize the car loads and intervals into fuzzy sets. The system determines the lobby traffic and traffic rate using fuzzy relations among car loads, departure intervals, lobby traffic and traffic rate and the fuzzy logic rules. The group controller collects traffic data during operation. The system runs simulations off-line, after single source traffic periods, using the specified control parameter values. The system collects and analyzes performance data to identify significant deviations from acceptable performances. New sets of control parameters are selected using appropriate specified rules. The process of simulation and learning new values of control parameters are repeated until acceptable performance is achieved. The selected parameters are used in system operation. The group controller repeats this process of simulation and learning the parameters periodically.
Abstract:
An elevator control apparatus includes a fuzzy rule base having fuzzy rules stored therein which govern the selection of an elevator cage to be assigned to respond to a call. A reasoning unit is provided for selecting the appropriate fuzzy rule to be applied to a cage. The reasoning unit selects the appropriate fuzzy rule according to evaluation factors such as the miss forecast rate and the estimation rate of the cages.
Abstract:
A method of operating a dispatcher of an elevator group of a building elevator system having a plurality of elevator systems organized into multiple elevator groups including: receiving an elevator call, the elevator call including a desired destination; transmitting elevator status data from the elevator group to one or more other elevator groups of the building elevator system; receiving elevator status data from each of the one or more other elevator groups of the building elevator system; determining a verdict depicting whether an elevator car of the elevator group is best to serve the elevator call in response to the elevator status data of each of the one or more other elevator groups of the building elevator system; and calling an elevator car in response to the verdict.
Abstract:
An elevator control of an elevator installation with at least two elevator cars that move independently of one another in a common elevator shaft has a control device for fixing a first common direction of travel of the at least two elevator cars and for reversing this first direction of travel on the basis of at least one internal destination floor selection and/or an external conveying request and/or a destination call only when all of the internal destination floor selections and/or all of the external conveying requests and/or all of the destination calls in the first direction of travel have been processed.
Abstract:
An elevator control of an elevator installation having at least two elevator cars movable independently of one another in a common elevator includes a control device for maintaining a defined minimum distance between two successive ones of the elevator cars and a defined maximum distance between two successive ones of the elevator cars.
Abstract:
An elevator group control system is provided which stably keeps cage's position in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time. The present invention provides a system comprising: reference route generating means, which for each elevator, generates a reference route which the elevator should follow with respect to the time axis and position axis; and assignment means which selects an elevator for assignment to a generated hall call so as to make the actual trajectory of each elevator closer to its reference route. Since reference routes which guides the cage's trajectory into temporally equal interval condition are generated and car assignment is executed so as to make the respective cages follow their reference routes, it is possible to allow the cages to settle in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time.
