Abstract:
A metal rope (10) comprises wires (16, 18). The wires (16, 18) have a surface of stainless steel. At least those wires (18) exposed to the surface of the rope (10) are coated with a transparent polymer (22) on the stainless steel. The transparent polymer (22) is selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic polyesters, polyimides, polyamides and polyphtalamides, or a copolymer thereof. The metal rope (10) can be an element of a fabric, such as a woven (144) or knitted structure (150). The metal rope (10) be used in architectural, building and decorative applications.

The invention relates to an elevator supporting means, comprising two or more tension members which extend in the longitudinal of the supporting means and are embedded in a sheath, wherein each tension member has a torque under tension, and wherein a sum of all torques of the tension members in a supporting means results in approximately zero.

A process for producing a belt-like carrier means (20) for an elevator system comprises the following steps: at least one cable-shaped tension support (42) is placed in position; the at least one cable-shaped tension support (42) is embedded in a first belt layer (46) made from a first plasticizable material so as to produce a partial belt (66) having a first outer surface (50) and a surface which forms a connecting plane (52), wherein parts of the at least one tension support (42) project out of the connecting plane (52) of the partial belt and at least parts of the projecting portion of the at least one tension support (42) are covered by the first plasticizable material; and a second belt layer (48) made from a second plasticizable material is integrally formed on the connecting surface (52) of the partial belt (66) and the projecting portions of the at least one tension support (42) so as to produce a carrier means (20) having the first outer surface (50) on the side of the first belt layer (46) and a second outer surface (54) on the side of the second belt layer (48).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new wire visualizing a varied suitable pattern, e.g. a color pattern from the surface therethrough, freeing the wire from the monotony possessed thereby and having rich novelty in a covered wire in which the wire formed by twisting metal wiry materials together is covered with a resin, etc. SOLUTION: The covered wire is characterized as follows. The outer periphery of a main part wire 1 formed by twisting the metal wiry materials together is coated with a suitable substrate material 2 and a pattern sheet 3 having an optional pattern applied thereto is laminated onto the outer periphery of the substrate material. The outer periphery of the pattern sheet is then covered with a transparent resin material 4 so that the covered wire is composed so as to visualize the pattern from the outside through the resin material 4. 투명성이 높고 내부의 모르타르(mortar)의 충진상태를 외부로부터 볼 수 있음과 동시에, 내압성이 높은 케이블보호관을 제공한다. 케이블을 수용하고, 또한 내부에 모르타르를 충진하기 위한 케이블보호관은 투명성 등에 뛰어난 아이오노머수지로 구성된 내외면이 평활한 보호관(1)과, 이 보호관을 보강하기 위한 스파이럴형상 또는 망사형상의 보강재(2)로 구성되어 있다. 보강재(2)는 상기 보호관(1)내에 매설하여도 좋다. 상기 보호관(1)은 평활형상관에 한정하지 않고 스파이럴형상파형관으로 하여도 좋다.
