Abstract:
A multi−directional input device, wherein a resistance element is pressed by a generally spherical pressing part on the lower surface of an operating body by the tilting operation of the operating body, and the tilting direction and tilting angle of the operating body are detected by a resistance value at the pressed point, whereby multi−directional operation is allowed through all directions of 360°and the pressing point of the generally spherical pressing part against the resistance element is specified in correspondence with the tilting direction and tilting angle of the operating body, and the tilting direction and tilting angle can be continuously detected with less number of parts.
Abstract:
An expandable keyboard device (110) includes an elastic belt (114) and at least one keyswitch (112a-112c) arranged on a side of the elastic belt (114). The keyswitch (112a-112c) includes a first electrically conductive member (128) and a second electrically conductive member (130) configured to be contacted to activate the keyswitch (112a-112c). At least one of the first electrically conductive member (120) and the second electrically conductive member (122) is configured to be expanded in at least one dimension.
Abstract:
A structure of a contact rubber used for various kinds of electronic appliances, and to preventing an oily substance which has penetrated into the contact rubber from the outside, or which is contained in the same rubber from coming out to the surface of a conductive portion of said rubber to thereby inhibit an increase in the contact resistance value of the conductive portion. The conductive portion (2) is formed on a key top (1), which is molded from an insulating rubber into the shape of a dome, via an oil-proof portion (3) formed of a layer of an oil-proof rubber or a resin film.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A key actuator and a switching device actuator are provided to reduce manufacturing costs and permit the key actuator and switch device to have a low resistance at a closed state. CONSTITUTION: A switching device comprises a first conductive terminal(18'); a second conductive terminal(18''); and a conductive pill arranged to move between an open position and a closed position. The first conductive terminal and the second terminal are short-circuited in the closed position. The first conductive terminal and the second terminal are not short-circuited in the open position. The conductive pill includes a conductive loaded resin-based material having a conductive material in a base resin host.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lighted switch used in input sections of various kinds of electronic devices, and a uniformly luminous EL sheet diaphragm and a lighted switch which is of a thin structure using the same are provided. The uniformly luminous EL sheet diaphragm is formed by molding a diaphragm portion 2 in a diffusion-type EL sheet which comprises a transparent electrode layer 4 formed on a transparent film 3, a light emitting layer 5, a dielectric layer 6, a rear electrode layer 7 and an insulating layer 8 in such manner that a light emitting surface is in a convex side, and the switch is provided by an electrode contact layer 9 newly formed on the insulating layer 8 in a concave side of the EL sheet diaphragm and an opposed electrode contact layer 11 formed on an insulating film base 10 opposite thereto, so that the thin structure can be achieved. Further, the transparent electrode layer 4 of the EL sheet diaphragm is formed by printing and drying a paste prepared by dispersing conductive powders that has a visible light transmittance in an insulating resin, and a high dielectric constant and flexible resin selected from vinylidene fluoride rubber and a blended resin of cyanated pullulan or cyanated cellulose and cyanated polyvinyl alcohol is employed as a binder resin for the light emitting layer 5 and dielectric layer 6, so that light emission failures due to wire breakage in the diaphragm portion 2 can be reduced, and a high quality EL sheet diaphragm and a switch using the same can be provided.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device such as a key operating mechanism having a low manufacturing cost, excellent conductivity, and a long life. SOLUTION: This switch device such as the key operating mechanism 12 is manufactured by a conductive filler filled resin based material. The conductive resin based material is obtained by uniformly dispersing very small conductive powder, very fine conductive fiber, or a mixture of them in a host material made of a resin material. Nonmetallic powder such as carbon, powder obtained by applying metal plating to the nonmetallic powder, metallic powder such as stainless steel, powder obtained by applying metal plating to the metallic powder, or a mixture of them may be used as the conductive powder. Nickel plated carbon fiber or stainless steel fiber is preferably used as the conductive fiber. A molding method such as an injection molding method, a compression molding method, or an extrusion molding method can be used as a manufacturing method for the conductive resin based material.
