Abstract:
In one aspect, a self-lubricating component is provided for a pharmaceutical packaging assembly. The self-lubricating component comprises a polymer composition and an effective amount of a lubricating additive such as, for example, boron nitride. In another aspect, a pharmaceutical packaging assembly may be provided having a surface thereof coated with a lubricating composition comprising boron nitride. The pharmaceutical packaging composition may be, for example, a pre-filled syringe comprising a body (barrel) and a plunger assembly.
Abstract:
A friction control composition having high and positive factional properties for sliding steel surfaces includes a water insoluble hydrocarbon that enables a reduced water content, a rheological additive, a freezing point depressant, a friction modifier, and a lubricant.
Abstract:
[Problem] To exchange the roller bearing that has been used in a scroll compressor mounted in an automobile with a m slide bearing. To provide a slide bearing having a performance that is at least equivalent to that of a roller bearing. [Solution] The slide bearing results from baking onto a back metal a sliding layer of 5-60 wt% graphite having an average diameter of 5-50 µm and a graphitization degree of at least 0.6, the remainder comprising a polyimide resin and/or a polyamide-imide resin. The form of the graphite has: (a) an average shape factor (YAVE) as defined of 1-4 for the particles excluding the minute particles that are no greater than 0.5 times the average diameter, and there being at least 70% by number of particles having a shape factor (Y) in the range of 1-1.5; or (b) graphite particles having a particle ratio of at least 0.5 being at least 50% of the total by number.
Abstract:
The rolling device of the present invention is a rolling device that is equipped with an inner ring, an outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring so as to freely roll, and that is packed with a lubricant composition containing a gelling agent in which a difference between a worked consistency and an unworked consistency is 40-130, and this rolling device has low-torque characteristics, is excellent in terms of recovery property and heat resistance, is free from lubricant leakage, and has a long life.
Abstract:
A lubricant for hot-rolling tools in which an oxide-based laminar compound such as potassium tetrasilicic mica, sodium tetrasilicic mica, vermiculite, and bentonite, a boric acid compound such as boric acid, potassium borate, and sodium borate, and graphite are dispersed and dissolved in water, and in which the blending proportion of the oxide-based laminar compound to the boric acid compound is, in mass ratio, 10 : 90 to 70 : 30, and the content of the graphite is 1.0 to 4.5%. Applying this lubricant on the surface of the mandrel bar at the time of mandrel mill rolling enables a lubricating film to be formed on the surface of the bar and to exert excellent seizure resistance, and also allows the lubricant to be immune from remaining in the inner surface of tube.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a lubricating composition to be used in the casting of steel, in particular in continuous casting processes. In particular, the present invention concerns a lubricating composition for processes for producing steel in continuous casting comprising a dispersion of a lubricating powder in a liquid medium.

Abstract:
[Problems] To provide a water-based lubricant for plastic working excellent in moisture absorption resistance and corrosion resistance, with which degradation in lubricating performances such as lubricity, workability and seizure resistance may not occur even under high-temperature/high humidity environments. [Means for solving] A water-based lubricant for plastic working, comprising a resin component containing a copolymer or homopolymer of monomers having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, including at least maleic anhydride (A), an inorganic component (B), and a solid lubricating component (C), wherein maleic anhydride moieties of the resin component (A) are blocked with a nitrogen-containing compound at a blocking ratio of 10 to 80%, and unblocked maleic anhydride moieties are neutralized with an alkaline component at a degree of neutralization of 40 to 100%.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an anticorrosive agent for metal components. In order to provide an environmentally compatible anticorrosive agent which can be applied to metal components without components having to be freed of the anticorrosive agent before installation, allows good coating even on oily surfaces, has a great anticorrosive effect and is also compatible with aqueous lubricant compositions, the anticorrosive agent of the invention comprises (in percent by weight): a) more than 50% water, b) a surfactant; c) a boric acid derivative; d) a platelet-like or rod-like filler; e) optionally a binder; f) optionally a carboxylic acid salt.
