PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like damping material capable of adhering to even places, such as a backside of a floor part in a vehicle and an engine room, by autohesion or hot welding, since the damping material has a damping performance and an anti-chipping function through an adhesive layer comprising an adhesive or a hot-melt adhesive.SOLUTION: A damping material comprises a thermosetting damping sheet and an adhesive layer. The thermosetting damping sheet contains one or more synthetic rubber chosen from a styrene-butadiene rubber, a butadiene rubber, and a high styrene rubber, a polybutadiene-based elastomer, a curing agent, a petroleum resin, and an inorganic filler. The sheet-like damping material has a damping performance and an anti-chipping function.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive paint sealant, particularly a non-foam type automotive paint sealant based on a vinyl chloride resin that can prevent blisters from developing when the sealant is applied and after being dried and then left to stand an intermediate coating and a top coating are applied.SOLUTION: The automotive paint sealant for the prevention of blisters is a non-foam type automotive paint sealant which includes a vinyl chloride resin (PVC) but does not include a foaming agent and which can prevent blisters from developing on the final coating film after the processes of applying the automotive paint sealant, temporarily baking or drying after applying the paint sealant, standing after temporarily baking or drying and applying an intermediate coating and (or) a top coating after being left to stand. The automotive paint sealant for the prevention of blisters is produced by adding magnesium oxide (MgO) into the automotive paint sealant so that the sum total of the surface area calculated by formula (1) as given below satisfies the range of 3.5 to 6.2 m. Formula (1): a specific surface area (m/g) of MgO×[the addition amount (g) of MgO/the addition amount (g) of PVC]×[the total amount (g) of components constituting the sealant/100]=3.5 to 6.2 m. Blisters can be prevented and swelling will not be caused by adding magnesium oxide (MgO) within the range of the sum total of surface area of 3.5 to 6.2 mas calculated by formula (1) to the non-foam type automotive paint sealant including the vinyl chloride resin.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a reinforcing sheet temporarily to a steel sheet by magnetic force alone while release paper made unnecessary in order to facilitate the correction of the sticking position of the reinforcing sheet and to make the reinforcing sheet remain at an exact position by preventing the falling or peeling of the reinforcing sheet after its position is corrected. SOLUTION: Barium ferrite and additives such as sulfur, a curing agent, and a foaming agent are mixed into a rubber type synthetic resin, and the mixture is molded into a sheet 1 of 1.0 mm thickness, and a glass cloth of 0.2 mm in thickness which is treated with a melamine resin is made a constraint layer 2. The magnetic sheet 1 is fixed temporarily to the steel sheet 3 at a prescribed position by magnetic force alone, heated, and fusion-bonded. Since the sheet 1 is fixed temporarily by magnetic force alone, the release paper which has been necessary so far is made unnecessary, contributing to the improvement of workability and the reduction of waste. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a sound absorbing material in a space that acts as a transmission channel of sound in a closed space in an automobile, and to develop a sound absorbing method of the sound absorbing material.SOLUTION: For transmission channels of sound in an automobile, for example, a space between a front fender panel and an engine room, a space between a rear fender panel and a trunk room, a space in a framework, and a space in the back of a bumper are the transmission channels of sound. The sound absorbing material to segment the space into a plurality of pieces of small space, and the sound absorbing method by which the sound absorbing material is inserted into the space acting as the transmission channel of sound are provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a sound insulating material by which a sound insulating layer is intensively formed as required in arbitrary places of a sound absorbing layer without requiring fabrication equipment such as trim and press equipment, and which is light in weight as a whole, compared with a sound insulating material in which the sound insulating layer such as a rubber sheet is stacked to a conventional sound absorbing layer. SOLUTION: In the sound insulating material comprising two layers of the sound absorbing layer and the sound insulating layer, a bag shape object including sound absorbing resin, or a mixed object of the sound absorbing resin, and sand and fine crushed stone, or cement, is stuck and stacked to an arbitrary part of the sound absorbing layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting damping layer having undergone a thermosetting with the same strength as a conventional one, and further enhance shape-following capability to prevent the damping layer from separating from a steel sheet or breaking. SOLUTION: A fibrous component including inorganic short fibers and organic short fibers is blended into the thermosetting damping layer. The balance between the strength of the thermosetting damping layer after thermosetting and the shape-following capability surely prevents separation and break in case a shock within expectation is applied.
