    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrasonic diagnosing image processor for executing chest diagnosis consisting of a scanning head for obtaining an ultrasonic echo signal from the three-dimensional area of a chest and a three-dimensional plotting device responding to the ultrasonic echo signal. SOLUTION: The whole chest is ultrasonic-scanned to obtain the group of three-dimensional data of the chest and the data is three-dimensionally plotted to form the image of all the organs. The three-dimensional plotting forms a projecting image to obtain the record of the whole chest in one image. In addition a low echoing lesion such as cyst is clearly displayed and a high density matter such as micro-calcification is clarified. At the time of diagnosing the low echoing lesion in addition, a signal from the low echoing tube cavity of a vein can be hidden to be applied for making the image of a low echoing part such as a bile duct.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form up concurrently the images of tissue and blood current by providing the subject device with an image processor to make B mode display data on processing ultrasonic echo and a Doppler processor to make Doppler display data on processing the same echo and forming a three-dimensional image on processing both outputs. SOLUTION: A scan head 10 is to transmit ultrasonic pulse into the human body equipped with a converter array 12 to receive ultrasonic echo. After the received echo signal is filtered by I, Q filter 20, I, Q specimen is processed by a gray scale mapping circuit 24 in B mode process. In Doppler process, it's processed on band filter by a wall filter 22 and gathered to the Doppler data aggregation in a Doppler processor 30. Perspective parameter is then input to perspective parameter memory 52, 54, image data of the tissue and blood current are put together and formed up to a three-dimensional image in a three-dimensional combination image fluoroscopy processor 50.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of false image without decreasing frame speed by transmitting along direction of a first and a second beams locating at the two transverse ends of an image field, and then transmitting along beam direction adjacent to the inner side of the transverse direction of the first and the second beams to continuously scan the image field. SOLUTION: Timing of converter array 30 is controlled by a emitter-receiver controller 60, scanning sequence is started by scanning in the order of beam direction 1 and beam direction 2 of two beams locating at two sides of a center line 12 of a sector 10. After scanning the beam direction 2 at right side of the sector, the beam direction 3 at left side of the beam 1 is scanned, and continuously, beam direction 4 at right side of the beam 2 is scanned. The scanning sequence moves from the center of the sector toward the outside of the transverse direction and goes ahead from one side to other side of the sector and returns back. The each beam direction is equally scanned with 2PR1 intervals from a spaced adjacency passing through the whole image.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a self-diagnosis for a defect difficult in detection and a lowering of capability by connecting an ultrasonic apparatus to a multiple- element converter probe, receiving echo by a pulse-transmission of this converter element and analysing the received echo and confirming an operation of the probe or the apparatus. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 10 has a multiple-element converter 30 and these elements are connected to a probe transmitter and a recorder 12 with a conductor for a multiple-conductor cable 38, respectively. By this way, the transmitter and recorder 12 receive an echo signal which is generated in each converter and convert it to a series of digital signals and connect them to a digital beam generator 14. On the other hand, the digital beam generator 14 forms homeomorphous digital echo signal. The digital echo signal which is treated with an image or doppler processor 16 forms a diagnostic image or being displayed on an indicator 18 after a diagnostic measurement, for example tachography and so forth. A diagnostic processor 20 controls a subsystem when the subsystem displays an activated diagnostic function.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noises interrupting observation of a lesion by processing an ultrasonic Doppler information signal, which is generated from ultrasound transmitted toward a human body and is received at a spatial point within the area, and by displaying the intensity of Doppler power by spatial standard in three-dimentional display. SOLUTION: A Doppler shift processor 22 calculates the shift of Doppler phase or of frequency at the point where each steric sample exists within the picture image area and processes many samples of signal which are detected by a group of Doppler sensor pulse that detects each sample's position. The value of steric sample is transferred to a speed image processor 26, and the value of color displayed as a picture element on a display 40 is transferred to a scan converter and a display processor 32. Each color indicates a particular speed of the flow at the position of the image in a particular direction. The value of Doppler power that is calculated at the processor 24 is mapped and its intensity or the value of color is displayed by a power image processor 28.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a time gain compensation in response to the kind of an inspection, by a method wherein the amplification factor of the sequence of an ultrasonic echo signal is controlled by selecting time gain compensation characteristics in response to the selection of a specified ultrasonic diagnosis processing method, and at the same time, the selected time gain compensation characteristic is displayed. SOLUTION: When a desired processing is selected by using the control on a control panel 28, the information is transmitted from the control panel 28 to a setting memory 72 and a setting controller 70. The setting controller 70 detects a control variable for the processing in the setting memory 72, initializes the device, and controls a scanning head and an echo signal processing. The setting controller 70 controls the gain of a time gain compensation amplifier 50 based on optimum time gain compensation characteristics, and provides a graphic information to an image processor 60 so that a visual display of the optimum time gain compensation characteristic may be shown on an image display device 62.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform resolving power for an observation area in an ultrasonic system. CONSTITUTION: A scanning is performed by a linear array to display an image of an area with a top truncated from a triangular image area. The transmission of the image is performed with the same increment of angle between adjacent ultrasonic beams to achieve a uniform image resolving power and a signal processing. A means is provided to delay a signal component received from the direction of a beam so that all signals can be added up in the same phase. The means makes the signals received dynamically focus by changing a sampling frequency and an array effective length with respect to the signal component arranged laterally.
