The fire resistant compositions may, optionally, contain one or more shear-stable polymers which have been found to increase the fire resistance of the hydraulic fluid composition.

Abstract: A multiple, parallel packed column vaporizer (10) for vaporizing a chemical having a relatively low decomposition temperature includes a shell (12); a plurality of parallel, vertically oriented vaporization columns (34) arranged in the shell, each vaporization column having inner walls and upper (14) and lower (16) open ends; a distribution assembly (152) for distributing the chemical substantially equally to the open upper ends (14) of the vaporization columns (34), which flows downwardly therein; a fluid heat exchanger which heats the vaporization columns to provide the heat needed to vaporize the chemical therein; and a gas supply (132) which supplies the gas to the lower ends (16) of the vaporization columns (34) so that the chemical is vaporized and becomes entrained in the gas and is carried upwardly out of the vaporizer (10).

An opposing horizontal slot (210) exhausts spent coating material and reactants in a laminar flow. A center section (230) provides a current of gas without chemicals parallel to the coating stream, and flowing with low velocity relative to the coating stream, but with high velocity relative to the extraneous turbulent and convection currents.
