Abstract:
An aircraft device power supply is capable of connecting to either an AC or a DC power bus provided on an aircraft. When connected to an aircraft's AC power bus, an AC power signal is EMI-filtered, stepped down in voltage to the same voltage as that of the DC power bus, and then rectified. When connected to an aircraft's DC power bus, a DC power signal is EMI-filtered before it is merged with the rectified AC power signal via an AC/DC switchover subcircuit. The output of the AC/DC switchover subcircuit is input to a power factor correction subcircuit which outputs a boosted DC voltage, regardless of which of the AC or DC aircraft power buses is connected to the power supply. A step down converter reduces the boosted DC voltage to a lower, system voltage which may then be further reduced or modified, as appropriate for device to be powered.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide block optical element constitution used as a transceiver for a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system. SOLUTION: This block optical element constitution is provided with a plurality of glass modules aligned each other as a block to form a plurality of optical paths in an inside, and fixed each other to maintain the alignment, a collimated light source for generating a coherent light beam on at least one of the optical paths in the block for guiding the coherent light beam to an outlet point of the block, and a light detector fixed onto the block. The block receives a reflected coherent light beam and transmits the reflected coherent light beam to the light detector through at least one of the other optical paths formed in the block. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system providing evaluation of air data parameter of independent and dissimilar aircraft. SOLUTION: The system providing evaluation of air data parameter of independent and dissimilar aircraft includes a first and a second dual channel electronic multifunction probe (MPFs) capable of being located adjacent to an outer plate of the aircraft. Each dual channel electronic MPF includes a pressure detection port and a housing for an electronic device. A first and a second electronic channel are provided in the housing of the electronic device of each dual channel electronic MFP. Since the first and the second electronic channel of the first dual channel electronic MFP formes a first and a second air data system providing evaluation of air data parameter of each aircraft, the first and the second electronic channel of the second air data parameter are electrically connected. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for detecting contaminants on a window surface of a viewing system utilizing light. SOLUTION: This method comprises steps of reflecting light off from contaminants on the window surface; capturing the reflected light in an image; converting the image into image data; and processing the image data to detect the contaminants on the window surface. The apparatus for detecting contaminants on an external surface of a window of a viewing system comprises: at least one light source for reflecting light from contaminants on the external surface; an imager for capturing an image of the reflected light and converting the image into image data; and a processor for processing the image data to detect the contaminants on the external surface.
