Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slat disconnect sensor that detects that a slat part relatively moves from a connect condition to a disconnect condition, during an undesired condition.SOLUTION: A first disconnect sensor 132 includes first and second arms 60, 62 pivotally supported by a first end 64. The first end 64 is supported by a base 68 having a pivot 72 for each of the arms 60, 62. A spring 74 is supported by the base 68 and arranged between the arms 60, 62. With the disconnect sensor 132, a pair of fuses 82 serve not only as a mechanical link but also as an electrical switch or fuse. The fuse 82 includes first and second parts 84, 86 secured to the first and second arms 60, 62 respectively by a fastener 106 and interconnected by a neck 88 that provides weakened area that breaks in the disconnect condition.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of suppressing a growth of a microorganism in a drinking water stored in a metal container, and a method of processing the metal container suitable for a long-term storage of the drinking water including a silver ion-containing biocide. SOLUTION: A method of suppressing a growth of a microorganism in a drinking water stored in a container having a metal surface includes: heating the metal surface about from 480°C (900°F) to 870°C (1,600°F); exposing the metal surface to oxygen during heating to oxidize a potential reducing site in the metal surface; and filling the drinking water including the silver ion in the container. The container having the metal surface is processed for a long-term storage of the drinking water including a silver ion: by heating the metal surface about from 480°C (900°F) to 870°C (1,600°F), thereby exposing the metal surface to oxygen in order to oxidize an electropositive metal in the metal surface; or by processing the metal surface using an aqueous solution containing an oxidant in order to oxidize the potential reducing site in the metal surface. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly maintain an oxygen concentration of an ullage in fuel tanks 40, 45, so as to prevent fire. SOLUTION: A pair of wing tank 40 and central tank 45 are provided within a fuel tank section 60 of an aircraft, to be communicated each other. The wing tank 40 is opened to outside air via a surge tank 35. NEA (Nitrogen Enriched Air) containing a large amount of nitrogen as an inert gas is introduced from an NEA supply source 15 via valves 25, 30. The NEA is guided to a mixing chamber 55 via the valve 30, during going-down of the aircraft of increasing outside air pressure, followed to be mixed with the outside air and to be guided further to the wing tank 40 and the central tank 45. The NEA is guided to the central tank 45 via the valve 25, during going-up or cruise of decreasing relatively the outside air pressure, and flows further to the wing tank 40. The oxygen concentration gets proper thereby over the whole of the fuel tanks 40, 45. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a light data harness which is not contaminated even in dusty environments. SOLUTION: A DA/AD signal converter 104 converts a data signal which is received by a digital input/output 106 from a digital signal to an analog signal with the use of a known conversion technology to output to an analog input/output 108. The analog input/output 108 is connected with an analog connector pin 110, and the analog connector pin 110 is made to have plug connection to a data port of a component to which data are supplied. For preventing from contamination, a connection connector casing 112 covers the whole of the DA/AD signal converter, and also covers a part of a digital communication cable 102 and the analog connector pin 110. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator assembly adapted to a shift in a positional relation of a driving shaft for an auxiliary pulley with respect to a crank shaft.SOLUTION: A deflection joint member 40 connects the driving shaft 36 for the auxiliary pulley functionally to the crank shaft, in a motor generator 2. The deflection joint member 40 includes a plurality of flexible drive rings 64-66 and a shaft attaching plate 168. The adjacent drive rings selected from the plurality of flexible drive rings 64-66 are connected each other through a body 82 in connection areas 91, 92, a connection area 93 and a connection area opposed to the connection ares 93. The connection area 93 and the connection area opposed to the connection area 93 are offset therein by 90° from the connection ares 91, 92. The respective flexible drive rings 64-66 and the shaft attaching plate 168 are thereby functioned as springs.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert from AC power to DC power without decreasing the system efficiency by using a shunt regulator that uses a field effect transistor (FET). SOLUTION: Each phase of a permanent magnet alternator 100 is connected to a drain node 112 of a shunt FET 110 and to a DC rectifier 120. A source node 114 of the shunt FET 110 is connected to a neutral line. A control input node 116 of the shunt FET is connected to the output of a logical OR gate 118. The logical OR gate 118 outputs a control signal for turning off the shunt FET 110 when a PWM controller 122 has given an instruction to turn off the shunt FET 110 or a comparator 124 has indicated that a corresponding phase voltage is negative. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that thermal expansion or thermal contraction causes distortion at a solder joint of a lead. SOLUTION: A top end 114 in which a recess 202 for receiving a solder ball of a BGA component is formed at a lead 106 of an adapter which electrically connects the BGA component to a circuit board, a pin-like bottom end 116 which is soldered to a pad pattern on the circuit board, a support that is fitted to a non-conductive carrier, and a hinge 204 are formed integrally. The hinge 204 has a solid structure having four bends for accommodating thermal expansion and contraction of a solder joint. In order to accommodate deformation of the hinge 204, a gap 350 is provided at a member 304 on the side opposite to the hinge 204. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
