PURPOSE: A fungicide for preventing plant diseases, containing dicerandrol A is provided to ensure high antibacterial activity to plant pathogen. CONSTITUTION: A fungicide for preventing plant diseases contains dicerandrol A of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. The dicerandrol A is isolated from Phomopsis longicola spp. The plant disease is bacterial leaf blight of rice. A method for isolating the dicerandrol A comprises: a step of culturing Phomopsis longicola spp.; a step of filtering and concentrating culture product; a step of extracting the concentrate with organic solvent; and a step of collecting active fraction by chromatography.

PURPOSE: An antibacterial composition containing Pseudomonas fluorescens Migula strain or its culture material is provided to ensure high antibacterial activity to Xanthomonas oryzae pathovar oryzae. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial composition to Xanthomonas oryzae pathovar oryzae contains 0.001~90 weight% of Pseudomonas fluorescens Migula 1895(KACC10072) strain or its culture medium as an active ingredient. A microorganism agent contains the Pseudomonas fluorescens Migula 1895(KACC10072) strain or its culture medium adding surfactant.

A genetic marker for race-typing of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae is provided to reduce the time and labor of race-typing, and appropriately control the rice disease caused by a specific race of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. Oryzae through accurate identification of the race from races K1, K2, K3, K4 and K5. A genetic marker for race-typing of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. A method for race-typing of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae comprises the steps of: (a) isolating the genomic DNA from Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae; (b) digesting the genomic DNA with restriction enzymes EcoRI and HindIII; (c) separating the digested genomic DNA fragments in their size; (d) hybridizing the separated genomic DNA fragment with the genetic marker as a probe; (e) detecting the hybridized probe; and (f) analyzing the pattern of detected probe, wherein the probe is obtained by performing PCR(polymerase chain reaction) of the genomic DNA from Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae using primers of SEQ ID NO:2 and SEQ ID NO:3.
