Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for saving power in a portable composite communication terminal is provided to offer the method of saving power in a portable composite communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: If a portable composite communication terminal keeps a folded state or a key has not been inputted for a given period(100), a portable phone control part accesses a sleep mode(102). The control unit transfers a sleep mode access indication flag to an OSD signal processing part(104) in an OSD unit and makes the flag set to the OSD signal processing part(104). The control unit disables the chip selection signal(/CS) of a video RAM(106) in the OSD unit. The control unit supplies a power control signal(PWR) so that battery power can continuously be supplied only to the video RAM and power supply to the other components of the OSD unit can be interrupted(108). In case that the folder housing is opened or an arbitrary key is inputted(110), the control unit executes a control operation so that battery power can be supplied to the other components of the OSD unit(112). The control unit enables the disabled chip selection signal(/CS) of the video RAM(114). If battery power is supplied, the OSD unit judges whether the flag has been set in the OSD signal processing part(104,116). If the flag has been set, the OSD unit judges that the previous mode was the sleep mode, reads the previous screen or a user configuration screen from the video RAM, and displays it on a graphic LCD(118).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for displaying information in a TV phone is provided to display information about telephone number on broadcasting scene superposition in the case a user telephones while watching TV broadcasting using a portable TV phone. The MSP outputs by superposing TV image signal output unit from a NTSC decoder and ODD signal corresponding to telephone number stored in the dial buffer by controlling a MUX(multiplexes)(105). If the send key is not inputted in the above checking process, the MSP checks whether call incoming signal is detected(106). If the call incoming signal is not detected, this process returns to the above displaying process. If the call incoming signal is detected, the MSP checks whether a caller number is detected(107). If a caller number is not detected, the MSP generates ODD signal corresponding to call incoming signal or icon by controlling ODD(112).
