Abstract: 본 발명은 디지털 영상장치의 화이트 밸런스 조절에 관한 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.
이러한 본 발명은 상기 디지털 영상장치가 피사체를 촬영하여 이미지센서에서 원본이미지를 생성하고 초점이 맞은 영역을 지정하여 영상처리부에 전달하면, 상기 영상처리부가 상기 원본 이미지에서 초점이 맞은 영역의 화소값들을 검출하고 상기 화소값들의 평균값을 계산한다.
상기 영상처리부는 상기 초점이 맞은 영역의 화소값들과 상기 평균값의 차이값들을 계산하고, 상기 차이값들과 상기 초점이 맞은 영역의 화소값들을 합하여 계산된 색상보정치의 각 성분 값들을 상기 색상보정치의 성분값들중 최대 성분값으로 나누어 성분별로 정규화 값을 결정하며, 상기 원본 이미지와 상기 정규화 값의 곱을 구하여 얻어진 보정된 이미지를 출력한다.
이렇게 함으로써, 본 발명은 원본 이미지의 화이트 밸런스를 상기 영상 처리부에서 자동으로 보정하여 원본 이미지의 원래 색을 구현할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
