Abstract: PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus, a service providing server, and an information providing method using the same are provided to supply various user convenient broadcast services through a communication network. CONSTITUTION: A communications unit(121) performs communication with a service providing server(110) for providing a broadcast service. An image processing unit(122) performs image processing for the broadcast service. An output unit(123) outputs information about the broadcast service. A control unit(124) transmits user information and view information of an image processing apparatus(120) to the service providing server. The control unit receives recommendation information from the service providing server.
