Abstract: PURPOSE: A filter and a filtering control method thereof are provided to maintain a frequency bandwidth regardless of the size of a core frequency. CONSTITUTION: A band pass filter (BPF) (100) comprises a resonator (110) and a reactance element. The resonator resonates with the core frequency of a filtering band. A reactance element controls a quality factor in order to control a bandwidth which is changed according to core frequency changes. The input end of the reactance element comprises a first reactance variable element and a second reactance element connected to the output end of the resonator.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A down-converter, an up-converter, a receiver and a transmitter applying the same are provided to reduce a burden for LO frequency generation by converting a frequency by using an LO(Local Oscillator). CONSTITUTION: A harmonic mixer(110) inputs a first frequency signal, an in-phase signal of a second frequency and a quadrature phase signal of a second frequency, and outputs a third frequency generated with the first frequency and the second frequency. A first mixer(120) inputs the signal of the third frequency and the in-phase signal of the second frequency, and outputs an in-phase signal of a fourth frequency generated with the third frequency and the second frequency. A second mixer(130) inputs a quadrature phase signal of the third frequency signal and the second frequency signal, and outputs a quadrature phase signal of the forth frequency generated with the third frequency and the second frequency.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A super high frequency I/Q(In-phase/Quadrature) transceiver is provided to reduce phase noise by lowering an oscillation frequency. CONSTITUTION: A signal receiving part(110) amplifies an inputted signal. A frequency generation part(120) outputs a stabilized VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator) frequency through a PLL(Phase Looked Loop). The frequency generation part comprises a phase synchronization circuit(121) and an oscillator(122). A first harmonic mixer part(130) generates a signal having the 1/3 size of an input signal frequency and four phases by receiving an input signal received from the signal receiving part and frequencies outputted from the frequency generation part. The first harmonic mixer part includes a first harmonic mixer(132) and a multi phase filter(131). A second harmonic mixer part(140) and a third harmonic mixer part(150) respectively output I signal and Q signals by receiving the signal which is reduced into the 1/3 size of the frequency of the input signal outputted from the first harmonic mixer part.

Abstract: An automatic frequency control device is provided to lock a frequency of an oscillation signal of an oscillator by comparing the frequency of the oscillation signal divided into 1/N and a reference signal. A divider(220) divides an oscillation signal of an oscillator into 1/N. A phase alignment unit(230) produces a plurality of reference signals with different phases by using the reference signals generated from a reference signal generator. The phase alignment unit selects one reference signal among the produced reference signals according to an output signal of the divider. A frequency comparator(240) compares the frequency of the oscillation signal outputted from the divider with the reference signal selected by the phase alignment unit. A frequency controller(250) controls the oscillation frequency of the oscillator according to the comparison result of the frequency comparator. Abstract: PURPOSE: An RF vector modulator for beam forming is provided to design a lossless broadband beam former in a chip using an amplifier based vector modulator. CONSTITUTION: A first amplifier(100) amplifies an inputted signal RF signal to output a differential RF signal of a different phase. An RF signal converting unit(200) outputs four differential signals of different phases. The RF signal converting unit includes a poly phase filter(210) which is virtually opened by the resonance of an output terminal configured by a transmission load(220). A variable gain amplifying unit(300) comprises an I variable gain amplifier(310) and a Q variable gain amplifier(320). An RF signal mixer(400) mixes the output currents of the I variable gain amplifier and the Q variable gain amplifier.
