    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for signal processing of transmission-type extrinsic fabry-perot interferometer optical fiber sensor(TEFPI) is provided to process the signal of the TEFPI optical fiber sensor to easily sort the measuring direction and to improve sensitivity and resolution. CONSTITUTION: A method for signal processing of transmission-type extrinsic fabry-perot interferometer optical fiber sensor(TEFPI) includes steps of interfering(300) the sensor signal of the TEFPI optical fiber sensor and detecting the location of the peak and trough point, comparing signal datum point, intermediate value of adjacent peak and trough point and deciding(310) the measuring direction, and sorting and recognizing(320) the signal type when the measuring direction is changed. A reference grid(13), an upper grid(12), and a lower grid are used to detect the progress of interference fringe while excluding the effect of the measuring noise in the step(300).
