PURPOSE: A lamp/power outlet control device and a method thereof are provided to control a plurality of lamps indoors or outlets using a remote controller by mapping a lamp or outlets to a trained infrared remote controller signal. CONSTITUTION: A signal transducer(420) changes a received remote controller signal into a digital signal. In a training mode, a mapping unit(430) generates a mapping result value by mapping a control signal for controlling a lamp or outlets which are selected through a selection interface. A comparison and analysis unit(450) extracts a mapping result value corresponding to the digital signal from a memory unit in an operating mode. A signal transmitting unit(460) transmits a control signal within the extracted mapping result value based on the mapping result value to a corresponding lamp or outlets.

PURPOSE: A multiple device control server and zigbee coordinator and an end device and an apparatus for controlling a multiple device and a method thereof are provided to display a media realistically by synchronizing a realistic effect device with the media. CONSTITUTION: An application control API(Application Programming Interface)(101) offers a device control command to a control manager(105). A profile manager(102) constructs an IR(Infrared) code to an IR profile. The profile manager offers the IR profile to a profile pool(103). If a realistic effect device is connected to the profile manger according to the device control command, the profile manger provides the IR code a connection manager(106) and a Zigbee coordinator.

Open API를 활용한 컨텐츠 제공 시스템 및 방법이 개시된다. 컨텐츠 저장부에는 적어도 하나의 컨텐츠가 저장된다. Open API부는 유무선 네트워크 인터페이스를 기반으로 상위 어플리케이션에 공통되고, 통신기능이 컴퍼넌트 형태로 구현된 API를 제공한다. 통신능력 제공부는 컨텐츠 제공자가 선택한 컨텐츠에 API를 결합하여 망의 자원 활용을 기반으로 한 통신능력을 추가한다. 컨텐츠 제공부는 통신능력이 추가된 컨텐츠를 제공한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 개인이 제작하거나 기존 인터넷상에 존재하는 컨텐츠와 Open API에서 제공하는 통신 기능을 컴퍼넌트화하여 망의 특성과 망의 기능 및 통신 프로토콜을 모르는 개인 사용자들이 컴퍼넌트화된 통신기능들을 컨텐츠에 추가하여 각 개인이 의도하는 개인형 컨텐츠 서비스를 쉽게 제공할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A dynamic priority queueing engine in a home gateway system, a method thereof and a data service system of a home gateway using a queueing engine are provided to assign a higher dynamic priority to a real-time service class packet, and to increase priority weight for a non real-time service class packet according to a standby time of a queue, thereby securing service fairness for each service class. CONSTITUTION: A receiving queue(300) queues up for packets incoming to receive a service. A processing queue(310) assigns dynamic priorities to the packets of the receiving queue(300) in consideration of priorities given according to service classes when the packets are produced, arriving rates of the queueing packets, and weight that increases the priorities according to a standby time of the receiving queue(300). An execution queue(320) stands by in order to receive a substantial service according to the dynamic priorities of the packets of the processing queue(310).

The present specification discloses a method and an apparatus for generating metadata of immersive media and also discloses an apparatus and a method for transmitting metadata-related information. The apparatus of the present invention includes: at least one among a camera module to photograph or capture images, a gyro module to sense horizontality, a global positioning sensor (GPS) module to calculate a position by receiving a satellite signal, and an audio module to record audio; a network module to receive sensor effect information from a sensor aggregator through a wireless communication network; and an application to generate metadata by performing time synchronization between images photographed by the camera module, sensor effects collected by using the gyro module or the GPS module, or audio collected by the audio module.

Provided are an apparatus and a method for processing media in a convergence media service platform. The method comprises the following steps: extracting reality effects based on media; inserting the reality effects into the media based on user interaction feedback information, continuous data, and a sensor and editing the media; and providing the generated convergence media. The media generating apparatus in a convergence media service platform comprises: an MSE processing unit for extracting reality effects from AV media; an AV processing unit for separating the AV media into an audio and a video and decoding the AV media based on a media format; a reality effect processing unit for adding the extracted reality effects by synchronizing with the waveform of the separated audio, and editing the properties of the added realty effects; and a media generating unit for generating convergence media by adding the additional realty effects to the AV media.
