PURPOSE: A symbol timing estimation apparatus according to carrier frequency variation range and a method thereof are provided to estimate symbol timing using an output signal of a matching filter when a carrier frequency variation is small and to estimate it using an input signal of the matching filter when the carrier frequency variation is large. CONSTITUTION: According to the symbol timing estimation apparatus, a filtering unit(100) filters a sampling signal. An information generation unit(210) generates a control signal to determine whether to use an output signal of a signal selection unit(200) as the sampling signal or as a filtering signal from the filtering unit, according to the variation range of a received carrier frequency. The signal selection unit outputs one of the sampling signal and the filtering signal selectively, according to the control signal. And a symbol timing estimation unit(110) estimates the symbol timing of the signal selected by the signal selection unit.

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus of performing direction search and wireless communications by using multiple wireless channels, which is multiple frequency bands, in a wireless communications system, configured to use a plurality of directional antennas facing in different directions, to assign sequentially along the direction one by one in the frequency bands which are predetermined to the directional antennas, to compare the strength of signals received by the directional antennas, and to perform direction search and wireless communications of radio signals through the directional antenna having the most high strength of the received signal by comparing the strength of the received signals of the directional antenna. Therefore, the present invention can provide a frequency diversity effect in an environment where the received signal is severely changed by distance according to the frequency band by the interference of sea reflected wave such as sea.

The present invention relates to a wireless channel allocating device and method in a maritime communication system. The wireless channel allocating device in the maritime communication system according to the present invention allocates a wireless channel which is different from a wireless channel of an adjacent relay station based on the location information of the relay station to request connection and determines the change of the allocated wireless channel according to the number of the relay stations using the same wireless channel.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for estimating position of objects are provided to estimate the position of an object based on the separation distance from the object, moving angle, and position data. CONSTITUTION: The device include a distance calculator(210), an image acquisition unit(220), a positioning unit(230), a synchronization unit(240), and a location decision unit(250). The distance calculator calculates the separation distance from an object through communication. When the distance calculator receives a signal through communication, the image acquisition unit takes a picture of the object. The positioning unit measures the moving direction and position of an object position estimation unit. The synchronization unit tags the reception signal of the distance calculator, the image of the image acquisition unit, and the moving direction and position of the positioning unit. The location decision unit decides the estimated position of the object.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for managing a block of a vessel are provided to adhere a GPS terminal to a separate signal number unit and move the signal number unit with transporter loading ship block together, thereby presuming location of the moving ship block. CONSTITUTION: A location estimation unit(120) produces center position of a vessel block through the first GPS(Global Positioning System) of a navigation sensor(110). The location estimation unit determines location of the first address in open-air storage yard map information from the center position. A block location management unit(130) receives the first video information of still signalman unit in the first address. The block location management unit receives the second video information of the ship block which is unloaded in the first address. The block location management unit reflects breadth information of traverse direction of unloaded vessel block to the open-air yard map.
