Abstract:
Described herein is a method for controlling pests of a maize plant, including the step of contacting the maize plant, parts of the maize plant, or its propagation material with components of the ginkgo tree selected from bilobalide, ginkgolide A, ginkgolide B, ginkgolide C, ginkgolide J, ginkgolide M, and mixtures thereof. Further described herein is the use of the components of the ginkgo tree for controlling pests on the maize plant, parts of the maize plant, or its plant propagation material.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to N-substituted imino compound of formula (I), wherein Y is a radical Y 1 , Y 2 , Y 3 , Y 4 or Y 5 , where Y 1 is O-C(=X)-R 3 ; Y 2 is S-C(=X)-R 3 ; Y 3 is N(R 5 )-C(=X)-R 3 ; Y 4 is N(R 5 )-S(=O)-R 4 ; Y 5 is N(R 5 )-S(=O) 2 -R 4 ; and where X is O or S; Het is a 5 or 6 membered carbon-bound or nitrogen-bound heterocyclic ring, W 1 -W 2 -W 3 -W 4 represents a carbon chain group connected to N and C=N, and thus forming a saturated, unsaturated, or partially unsaturated 5 or 6 membered nitrogen containing heterocycle, wherein W 1 , W 2 , W 3 and W 4 each individually represent CR V R W ; R 1 , R 2 may be hydrogen, halogen, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl etc.; and where R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are as defined herein. The invention also relates to the use of the N-acylimino heterocyclic compounds, their stereoisomers, their tautomers and their salts, for combating invertebrate pests. Furthermore the invention relates also to methods of combating invertebrate pests, which comprises applying such compounds.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a catalytic process for preparing pyrazoles comprising the step of cyclizing hydrazone substituted α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds by reacting them with hydrogen in a reaction mixture comprising as components (a) a hydrogenation catalyst, (b) an acid selected from Brønsted acids, ammonium salts of Brønsted acids, and Lewis acids, (c) a protic solvent, and optionally (d) an aprotic solvent.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a pyrazole compound of formula V, the process including cyclizing a hydrazone substituted α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound of formula IV by reacting it with a suitable reagent, e.g. a reducing agent, an organometallic reagent or a nucleophilic reagent. The compounds of formula V are versatile reaction tools for the preparation of pyrazole derived fine chemicals. The present invention also relates to pyrazole compounds of formulae Va, Vb, Vc, and VI.
