Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of earthing noise during acceleration in an empty car state by setting a ratio of the area of a center block, formed on the equator surface of a tread, to the area of each of second blocks formed on both sides of the center block to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A tread pattern applicable to a radial tire 10 forms a blockform tread pattern in which a sectional groove 14 and a peripheral groove 16 are used jointly. A plurality of narrow grooves 20 paralleling each other and intercoupling the peripheral grooves 16 are formed between adjoining center blocks 18. Second blocks 22 are formed on both sides of the center block 18 with the peripheral groove 16 therebetween, and a side block 24 is formed to the outside, in the direction of the width of a tire of, the block 22 with the peripheral groove 16 therebetween. In which case, the area of the center block 18 per one pitch of the block pattern is set to 150-300% of the area of the second block 22.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the remaining of bubbles by sticking a tread, on which a squeegee rubber is stuck previously to a reinforcing layer, to the reinforcing layer when a tire is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:When a pneumatic tire in which a squeegee rubber 26 is arranged between a reinforcing layer 18 and a tread 14 is manufactured, the tread 14, on which the squeegee rubber 26 is pasted previously while being faced to the reinforcing layer 18, is stuck to the reinforcing layer 18. Accordingly, the remaining of bubbles between the tread 14 and the squeegee rubber 26 can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a metal cord from being broken and filaments from being broken into pieces, by specifying strength of the metal cords to be buried into a main rubber layer and rubber penetration property respectively in the captioned tire for an electric-train or the like. CONSTITUTION:A metal cord 5 to be buried into a main rubber layer 6 is constructed to a material having strength of 200kg or more per filament. Further, a rubber penetration ratio Sr/S of the cross-sectional area Sr of a rubber R penetrated into an area A to a total cavity cross-sectional area S in a polygon area encircled by the polygonal line shown by a solid line which connects the enters of the filaments 7 at the outermost position excluding the filaments 7 is specified to 30% or more. With this arrangement, the metal cord is prevented from being broken and the filaments of the broken cord from being taken to pieces.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic bias tire capable of suppressing the occurrence of peel trouble between a tread and a breaker.
SOLUTION: In a carcass 26 comprising six plies, that is, a first ply 14 - a sixth ply 24, the plies from the outermost ply layer to the third ply layer, that is, the sixth ply 24, the fifth ply 22 and the fourth ply 20 are butted mutually at the end parts of them in the peripheral direction of the tire and bonded. Further, the plies 28A and 28B of the breaker 28 are also butted mutually at the end parts of them in the peripheral direction of the tire and bonded. By this constitution, since the outer peripheral surface of the breaker 28 does not become uneven in the peripheral direction of the tire, a shearing strain in the peripheral direction of the tire is not concentrated locally at the time of load tumbling and the occurrence of the peel trouble between the tread 32 and the carcass 26 is suppressed under a long range and long-term running condition.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a high wet skid resistant performance and well restrain partial abrasion by applying the constitution that a land section forms a row of many blocks divided with open sipes having both ends open to right and left main grooves, respective blocks are extended along the open sipes, and also the land section has closed sipes having both ends terminated in the blocks. CONSTITUTION: The tread 1 of a pneumatic tire for a heavy load has a plurality of meandering main grooves 2 extended in a peripheral direction, and a land section 3 divided with the main grooves 2. Also, the section 3 has sipes 4 and 6 extended along a direction intersecting the main grooves 2. The main grooves 2 are continuous with meandering width (w) equal to or less than the width (v) thereof. Also, a row of many blocks 5 is formed in such a state as divided with the open sipe 4 having both ends open to the right and left main grooves 2 of the section 3. In addition, the blocks 5 are extended along each open sipe 4, and has a closed sipe 6 having both ends terminated therein.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a bead part by reducing the end part distortion of a steel cord protecting layer so as to prevent the growth of cracking and the cord severance of organic fiber cord protecting layers. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic radial tire for heavy load is provided with a steel cord protecting layer 24 with the cord direction inclined by 30 deg.-50 deg. to the radial direction of a tire, along the turn-around area of a carcass ply 12 around a bead core 14. A first organic fiber cord protecting layer 26, a second organic fiber cord protecting layer 28 and a third organic fiber cord protecting layer 30 are further disposed on the tire width direction outer side of the steel cord protecting layer 24. The distortion of the winding end 24A on the tire width direction outer side of the steel cord protective layer 24 is thereby reduced by a large margin so as to prevent cracking from the winding end 24A on the tire width direction outer side of the steel cord protecting layer 24 and also to prevent the cord severance of the organic fiber cord protecting layers generated in the vicinity of the winding end 24A on the tire width direction outer side.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prolong the fire life by extruding a rubber chafer and a side rubber into an integral form by a dual T-bar. CONSTITUTION:A boundary part 26 between a rubber chafer 22 and a side rubber 24 is oriented from inside in tire width direction to outside in the tire width direction and inclined from inside in tire radial direction to outside in the tire radial direction. The rubber chafer 22 and the side rubber 24 are extruded by a dual T-bar into an integral form. Accordingly, there is no occurrence of stepped parts at the boundary part 26 between the rubber chafer 22 and the side rubber 24. For this reason, upon valcanization, no creek occurs at the boundary part 26 between the rubber chafer 22 and the side rubber 24, the separation of the boundary part 26 is prevented and the tire life can be prolonged.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of tire noise as one-sided wear is prevented from occurring by a method wherein the sipings of adjoining ribs partitioned by a main groove in the peripheral direction of a tire are formed in a manner to be deviated from each other peripherally of a tire, and the length, in the peripheral direction of the tire, of each siping is increased to a value higher than the length, in the direction of the width of the tire, thereof. CONSTITUTION:A tread 12 of a tire 10 is provided with four main grooves 14 separated away from each other in the direction of the width of a tire and extending substantially continuously in the peripheral direction of the tire and five ribs 16 partitioned by the main grooves and extending continuously in the peripheral direction of the tire. Each rib 16 has a plurality of sipings 18 formed at intervals of a specified distance in the peripheral direction of the tire. The siping 18 are formed such that they are deviated from each other in the peripheral direction of the tire between the adjoining ribs 16. A length LP in the peripheral direction of the tire of each of the sipings 18 formed in each rib 16 in a manner to be separated away from each other in the peripheral direction of the tire and a length LW in the direction of the width of the tire are selected so as to satisfy a relation of LP>LW. This constitution prevents the occurrence of one-sided wear and reduces the frequency characteristics of tire noise especially the maximum sound pressure thereof.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent partial wear in a radial tire for subways or the like by making hollow the innermost layer of belt layers, making the width of intermediate layer the maximum and specifying the relation of respective layers widths, specifying rubber characteristics of a part between the bel and bolt layers, and forming narrow grooves of specified widths and depths. CONSTITUTION:An innermost layer 12c of a belt layer 12 of three layer structure has a hollow part at the central part in the tire width direction, the width W1 of an intermediate belt layer 12b is made 80-10% of the tread width W, and the widths W2 of innermost, outermost layers and the hollow part width W3 are set to be 80-98% and 15-50% respectively with respect to the width W1 of the intermediate layer 12b. The pulling modulus in 100% rubber between respective bolt layers 12a-12c and belt layer is set to be 50-90kg/cm . At a circumferential rib 18, there is formed narrow grooves 20 with groove width of 2mm or less and grove depth of 30-110% of the grove depth (5-30mm) of the circumferential main groove 16. With the structure partial wear is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the progress of edge abrasion by setting each width of three layers forming a belt and the width of a hollow part formed in one layer in specified mutual relationship, respectively, and forming a narrow channel extending in the tire circumferential direction within a specified range of a tread part. CONSTITUTION:A belt 2 of a tire applied to vehicles such as electric cars is formed of three belt layers 4-6 consisting of codes directed to the direction crossing to the tire equator face X-X. In this case, the most inner layer 6 among these belt layers is formed in a hollow structure. The width W1 of the intermediate layer 5 is set larger than the layers 4, 6 and also to 80-110% of the width of a thread part 3. Each width W2 of the most inner layer 6 and the most outer layer 4 is set to 80-90% of the width W1 of the intermediate layer 5. The hollow width W3 of the most inner layer 6 is set to 15-50% of the width W1 of the intermediate layer 5. On the tread part 3, a narrow channel 10 extending straight in the tire circumferential direction is formed in a position within 15mm from the side edge of the most outer layer 4 toward the direction of the tire width.
