Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely select picture elements comprising a partial picture that an operator specifies by permitting a position specification means to judge that said picture elements are specified ones when specified coordinates are judged to lie within a mouse area. CONSTITUTION:A picture comprising table is stored in a memory 202, and has lines e1-en. Each line stores identifiers corresponding to picture comprising elements and coordinate transformation constants. When the inputted coordinates are judged to lie within an area for the picture elements comprising the partial picture, relative coordinates corresponding to masking data about said picture elements are calculated. Then such judgement is made that the positions of the calculated relative coordinates lie in which positions in the masking data. If the results shows that the picture having been displayed lies in an area to be held, the inputted coordinates are not on the line e1, and the operation shifts to a next retrieval. When the relative coordinates lie in the area where the picture having been displayed of the masking data is masked, the picture elements on the line e1 are judged to ones that the operator specifies, and the operation ends.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To designate the ranges and positions of complied characters and compiled character strings by using the setting means for displacement information, character position designation mode, character string designation mode, etc., in addition to the input of character information. CONSTITUTION:In a compiling mode the characters can be compiled when a range designating key is turned on. While a single character compiling mode is set when said range designating key is turned off. Then the caret position compiling is possible when a position designating key is turned on. The value of a present position counter is replaced for each character in response to the input of replacement of a rotary disk 108 (303). These counter and flag information are stored in the RAM 305-2 of a memory 305 and then processed by a CPU 301 to be displayed on a liquid crystal display device 107. The device 107 displays the character strings within a range covering the displayed head counter value through + (m-1) and the display is changed in an out-of-display range. Then the character strings under selection are displayed with black-while inversion.

CONSTITUTION:In constituting a positive/negative logic selecting means by an exclusive OR circuit 304, with a terminal 305 pulled up, ports 302-0-302-3 go all to a low level at the application of power and with the terminal 305 connected to ground, the ports 302-0-302-3 go all to a high level at the application of power. Thus, in case of the titled circuit used for output ports of a control circuit used frequently for a relay, a plunger or a clutch, the terminal 305 is pulled up by a resistor R401 so as to prevent a load such as a relay from being driven at the application of power.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To move a graphic form to an objective location accurately at a high speed while confirming visually a display screen by using a coordinate display detection means for detecting inputted coordinate displacement on a touch panel and moving the graphic form in parallel to the same direction. CONSTITUTION:A display screen of a CRT display 2 and a transparent tablet functioning as a coordinate input means are overlapped so that both a display coordinate and input coordinate have a prescribed relation. A coordinate displacement detection means 401 for detecting the direction and distance of coordinate displacement of the input coordinate inputted to a graphic moving command area 500 is connected to the touch panel 1 and a graphic moving means 403 moving a graphic form 700 in a desired location is connected to the CRT display 2. The coordinate displacement detection means 401 detects the direction and distance of the coordinate displacement from the coordinate displacement inputted to the area on the touch panel 1, that is, the graphic movement command area 500 and moves the graphic form 700 in parallel in the same direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain high speed and accurate coordinate input by setting an area where a display face of a CRT display and an input face of a touch panel are overlapped to a cursor moving command area and a cursor coordinate input command area respectively. CONSTITUTION:The display face of the CRT display 2 being a display means and a transparent tablet 1 being a coordinate input means in the coordinate input device are constituted overlappingly so that the display coordinate and the input coordinate of the both have a prescribed relation. The moving command area 500 and the coordinate input command area 501 of the cursor 400 are set to the said overlapped face and a cursor moving means 402 and a coordinate displacement detection means 401 and provided. Thus, at the coordinate input of a point on the coordinate input face, a finger or the like touches the moving command area 500 an the touched point is moved in the direction of an object point. The coordinate displacement detection means 401 detects the moving direction and the distance or the like and the cursor moving means 402 moves the cursor 400 based thereupon.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a copied picture image in true focus even when the original is uneven by measuring the distance from the image forming reference plane of an original placed on an original setting table with the face to be copied facing upward to the face to be copied before exposing and keeping the length of light path from the face to be copied to a photosensitive body according to the measured value. CONSTITUTION:A book 1 is placed on a book cassette 2 mounted on an original setting table 5 with the face to be copied (f) facing upward. When a copy command switch is depressed, the original setting table 5 starts moving at a constant speed, and the distance between a distance measuring device 7 and the face to be copied (f) of the book 1 is measured, and the measured value is outputted to a controlling circuit 30. The rate of change of the distance from the image forming reference plane of the original to the face to be copied is calculated from positional information of output of the distance measuring means and exposure scanning direction of the distance measuring means. When an area in which the rate of change is large and does not require copying is calculated, feeding of transfer paper is delayed for the area.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a beautiful copied image at all times irrespective of the size of an original and bumping basis of the original by providing a distance measuring means at a position at which the distance from the central copied face of the smallest original that becomes a basis. CONSTITUTION:A bumping basis is provided on a reference line 40a that passes the central part of the bottom plate 3 (referenceplane of image forming Yk) of a book cassette, and when a book 1 is mounted on the book cassette 2, the center in vertical direction is squared to the dumping basis. The book cassette 2 is formed to be used for both A5 size and A4 size in common, and when the book 1 is Z size, it is positioned in the area 41 of oblique lines in the spread, and in the case of A4 size, it is positioned in the area 42 of oblique lines in the spread. A distance measuring device 7 is provided between the book cassette 2 and an illuminating lamp 8 and right above the reference line 40a and can measure the distance between the copied face f above the intersection 44 of a perpendicular 43 drawn from the distance measuring device 7 and the reference line 40 and the distance measuring device 7.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a copied picture image in exact focusing even when an original is uneven by measuring the distance from the reference plane of image forming of an original placed on an original stand with its copied face facing upward and the copied face before exposure scanning and keeping the length of light path from the copied face to a photosensitive body constant according to the measured value. CONSTITUTION:When a measured value by a distance measuring device 7 is inputted to a controlling circuit 30 and the distance from the reference plane of image forming Yk to the copied face f of a book 1 is known as Yn, positional information in the direction of exposure scanning of the book 1 corresponding to the distance Yn is inputted to a memory 35. Supposing that the speed of an original stand 5 is v, the distance between the distance measuring device 7 and mirror reference position MS is Xs and the length of exposure from the reference plane of image forming Yk to a photosensitive drum 11 a time Xs/v is L, the length of light path L becomes shorter by Yn after further lapse of a fixed time from the point of time, and accordingly, the image on the photosensitive drum 11 becomes out of focus. In such a case, mirrors 91, 92 are driven by a mirror driving section 34 and shifted upward by a distance Yn/2 to maintain the length of light path constant.
