    Abstract: This specification discloses a sheet feeding device for feeding sheets from a sheet supporting bed such as a cassette or a deck, and more particularly a sheet feeding device having a sheet supporting bed holding sheets thereon and adapted to be removably mounted at a predetermined position in an image forming apparatus, a rotatable member for contacting the sheets on the sheet supporting bed and feeding the sheets when the sheet supporting bed is mounted at the predetermined position in the image forming apparatus, support means for supporting the rotatable member for idle rotation by a predetermined amount in a forward direction and a reverse direction, and intermittent means for intermittently connecting the support means to a drive source. The sheet supporting bed includes, for example, a cassette type one which can be perfectly removed from the image forming apparatus or, for example, a drawing type one which can be pulled out and inserted relative to the predetermined position while remaining engaged with the image forming apparatus.

    Abstract: An image-recording device is specified which has a fixing device with at least one pair of rotary elements for fixing a toner (powder) image on an image-carrying material.     Abstract: An image forming technique employing a screen photosensitive medium having therein a plurality of fine openings. Using such screen photosensitive medium an electrostatic latent image is formed on an electric charge retainable member to be modulated under the action of a modulated corona ion stream. A non-image area can be formed on the member to be modulated by providing an ion stream blocking member between a modulation ion source and the screen photosensitive medium to block the ion stream flowing from the ion source to the screen photosensitive medium at a desired and limited area. The present invention enables to form a very sharp boundary between image area and non-image area.
