Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize the formation of a sharp image having high contrast and high resolution by the constitution consisting in sandwiching a liquid layer contg. a surface active agent having a cloud point between a substrate and protective plate. CONSTITUTION:The liquid layer 2 contg. the surface active agent having a cloud point is sandwiched between the substrate 1 and the transparent protective plate 3. A ray 6-1 made incident to the transparent low temp. region 4 of the liquid layer 2 transmits straightly the liquid layer and is emitted from the substrate 1. The liquid layer 2 when heated by the IR beam 5 irradiated thereto according to an information signal at the cloud point thereof of above is made opaque and incident light 6-2 to the region 4a is scattered. Since the element has the excellent scattering characteristic, the sharp image having high contrast and high resolution is obtd. There is no limitation in the visual angle and the eye's fatigue is eliminated even after the long-period use.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To execute development of various hues and to make possible the long-period safe preservation of an image by processing a recording material formed with a specifically constituted recording layer on a conductive substrate with a heat pattern and developing the same in an electrolyte contg. a coloring material. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer 2 consisting of a polymer complex composed of a basic polymer such as N-pyrolidone and acidic polymer such as citric acid is formed on the conductive substrate 1 consisting of a metallic plate of gold, platinum, copper, etc. and an insulating layer 3 is deposited on the other surface. Such material 10 is processed with the heat pattern to form a latent image 5 in the recording layer 2. The material in such a state is immersed into the electrolyte 6 incorporated therein with the coloring material and electricity is conducted thereto to develop the image. The development of various hues is thus made possible and the easy production and recording are executed without exercising special care for the photosensitivity. The long- period stable preservation of the image is thus made possible.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To execute easily production and recording without exercising special care for photosensitivity and to make possible the long-period stable preservation of an image by forming a specifically constituted recording layer on a conductive substrate and developing electrochemically the latent image exposed by active rays. CONSTITUTION:A recording material 10 is formed by forming a recording layer 2 consisting of a polymer complex composed of a basic polymer and acidic polymer and a sensitizer on the conductive substrate 1 consisting of a metallic plate of gold, platinum, copper, etc. and forming an insulating coating 3 on the other surface. N-vinyl pyrolidone, etc. are used for the basic polymer and a citric acid, etc. are used for the acidic polymer. An original 5 is placed on such material 10 and is exposed with the active rays 4 to form the latent image 6. Such material is immersed in an electrolyte 7 and electricity is conducted thereto to develop the image. The easy production and recording are thus made possible without the need for exercising special care for the photosensitivity and the long-period stable preservation of the image is made possible.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To execute production and recording without exercising special care for photosensitivity and to make possible the long-term stable preservation of an image by using a recording material formed with a specifically constituted recording layer and photosensitive layer on a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:The image recording material 10 is constituted by forming the recording layer 2 consisting of a colored electrolytically polymerized film on the conductive substrate 1 and forming further the photosensitive layer 3 consisting of a polymer complex composed of a basic polymer and acidic polymer and a sensitizer thereon. The recording is executed by placing an original onto the material 10 and exposing the same with active rays to form a latent image then immersing the material into an electrolyte and conducting electricity thereto to develop the image. The recording layer 2 and the photosensitive layer 3 do not lose the photosensitivity even after resting in an ordinary atmosphere and no special care is required in the stage of production. The recording is easy and the polymer complex is stable after development. The long-term stable preservation of the image is thus realized.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain distinct images of high resolution by providing a liquid layer containing a liquid absorbing and discharging dyed polymer, which absorbs a liquid at a high temperature and discharges the liquid at a low temperature, and a liquid and a heating element which gives the thermal energy to this liquid layer. CONSTITUTION:When an infrared beam is not irradiated on a gel 4-2, the gel 4-2 is contracted as it is, and illuminating visible light 6-2 incident on the dyed gel 4-2 is absorbed partially by the dyed gel 4-2. Though the remainder light exists to the outside through a gel containing liquid layer 2, it is weakened considerably. When an infrared beam 5 is irradiated on a prescribed part of an infrared absorbing layer 7 in accordance with an information signal or the like, the irradiated part absorbs infrared rays and converts them to a heat to heat the dyed gel near it, and the gel absorbs a solvent and is swollen in accordance with heating. As the result, contained coloring matter concentration of the dyed gel is reduced, and the degree of absorption of illuminating light 6-1 incident on this part is reduced, and most of the light 6-1 passes through the gel containing liquid layer 2. When the temperature falls, the swollen dyed gel 4-1 is contracted to the original state and intercepts the light again.

A metallic composition for manufacturing an electron radiating element is applied onto the base plate 1 provided with the element electrodes 2 and 3 to be heated and baked to obtain a conductive thin coat 4. Such heating and baking can form a conductive thin coat having uniform thickness.
