Abstract: PURPOSE:To stably form an image of high resolution by laying plural recording electrodes on the surface of a developer carrying member in parallel and arranging a cylindrical electrode provided with a surface layer consisting of a material whose volume electric resistance value is changed according to the intensity of a working electric field by opposing it to the recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical electrode 5 is formed into the structure of two layers obtained by laminating the surface layer 5b on an electrical conductive sleeve 5a. Then, the surface layer 5b is formed of the material having a characteristic that the volume electric resistance value thereof is reduced according as the intensity of the working electric field becomes large. At a recording part W, the lines of electric force in developing electric fields respectively formed by a recording electrode wire 15b which is turned on are focused at the central part of a dot because the surface layer 5b of a dielectric substance is provided and the radiating angle of the line of the electric force becomes small. Thus, the toner recording image of the high resolution consisting of the dot whose contour is proper size is stably formed on the surface of the cylindrical electrode 5 even at the recording part W where a sufficient distance between the electrodes is secured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To integrate a recording means and a developer feeding means to be compact with simple structure by installing plural recording electrodes in parallel on the surface of a developer carrying member laid between plural magnetic rolls and setting the driving circuit of the recording electrode between the magnetic rolls of the developer feeding means. CONSTITUTION:The plural magnetic rolls 13A and 13B having magnetic poles on the circumferential surfaces are separately arranged, and the developer feeding means obtained by laying the developer carrying member 14 made of a non-magnetic material between the rolls 13A and 13B, a recording means where the plural recording electrodes 15 are juxtaposed in a direction perpendicular to a developer feeding direction and where a driving circuit which outputs a recording voltage in accordance with inputted recording information to the respective electrodes 15 is disposed between the rolls 13A and 13B, and a cylindrical electrode 5 are provided. Then, the recording voltage is impressed on an electrode counter part where the recording electrode 15 and the cylindrical electrode 5 are opposed, so that developer carried to the electrode counter part by the developer feeding means 14 is selectively transferred to the cylindrical electrode side. Thus, a high-resolution recorded image is stably formed without abrading a recording head.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stably form a high-resolution recorded image without abrading a recording head by forming the surface of the partof a recording electrode which extends to a recording part of a magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:The exposed surfaces of respective recording electrode lines 20a are respectively coated with magnetic layers 20d made of the magnetic conductive material, which is excellent in abrasion resistance, such as nickel or 'Permalloy(R)', so that the recording electrode EL is constituted. Therefore, most of magnetic fluxes of traveling-wave magnetic field which is formed on the surface of a jacket member 15A are regulated so that they may be focused on the electrode EL and extended toward a cylindrical electrode 5 side, and magnetic toner (d) forms bristles along the focused magnetic fluxes, thereby forming a toner chain which extends orderly. Since the magnetic toner (d) hardly exists between the adjacent electrodes EL and EL, a leak phenomenon is surely prevented and the distinct toner recorded image whose resolution is high and whose density is high is stably formed. Furthermore, the abrasion of the recording electrode EL is prevented because the magnetic layer 20d becomes a protective layer.

CONSTITUTION:When an alternating current is energized to an energizing coil, a traveling-wave magnetic field moving in the direction of the arrow (A) is formed on the outer periphery of the region where the energizing coil is disposed of a recording unit Uw, and magnetic toner (dt) is carried in the direction of the arrow (B) opposite to the direction of the (A) while forming nap. The carried magnetic toner (dt) whose nap is cut and regulated to a prescribed thickness by a doctor blade 18, and then, reaches a recording part W. A recording part W. A recording electrode wire is arrayed and laid from the recording part W to its upstream side, and a driving circuit element 21 selectively applies the recording voltage according to recorded data with respect to each recording electrode wire. The electrostatically charged magnetic toner (dt) is moved to a high potential side, so that only the magnetic toner (dt) on the recording electrode wire on which the voltage is applied is selectively transferred to the surface of the cylindrical electrode 5, on the recording part W, and a black dot is formed.

CONSTITUTION:The conductor parts 4 are divided into proper number of sets where the same even-number of conductor parts exist respectively, and the respective sets of conductor parts 4 are equally dispersed and arranged around a supporting body 3. Namely, in the case that the conductor parts are divided into (m) sets, the respective sets of conductor parts 4 are arranged in alternate (m-1) lines. Then, the conductor part 4A and 4B which belong to different sets are arranged to be in two lines and travel in the same direction. By conducting the alternating currents (PWN currents) by pulse width modulation (PWM) of (m) kinds ((m) phases) whose phases are shifted by pi/m to the (m) sets of the conductor parts 4 in arranging order, progressive wave magnetic field which progresses in the direction of C is formed. Thus, the magnetic powder is carried without providing the mechanical rotating mechanism.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To print a recording picture, which has gradation, on a regular paper by varying a recording voltage, applied to a recording electrode, according to image information containing gradation data. CONSTITUTION:Area gradation is given to a picture by utilizing the characteristic of the relation between the dot size and the recording voltage. That is, a line memory 18 stores image information for one line in the main scanning direction 1, and then outputs it to a driving circuit 14. The image information inputted to the line memory 18 drives a segment electrode 4d, and generates a dot driving signal which forms one dot; voltages V1-V7 of seven gradated steps are selectively applied to each segment electrode 4d according to the dot driving signal; a dot size varies with that, and the picture is provided with various density of the area gradation type. Thus, the recording picture with gradation can be formed on a regular paper.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily form an excellent image at low cost irrelevantly to the thickness of a recording material by controlling a recording signal voltage by a device which performs recording, development, and image transfer at the same time according to the thickness of the recording material. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric sensor 19 outputs a paper thickness detected value to a recording voltage control circuit 24 according to variation in the pressure of a coil spring 20 with the paper thickness of the recording paper P. The circuit 24 applies the recording voltage 4f corresponding to the detected value of the sensor 19 to an auxiliary electrode 21 and also applies it to the segment electrode 4d of a printing head 4 through a driving circuit 26 and a switch 4e according to image information. A linear electrode 4g which is laid on a screw ball 4b is grounded. Consequently, the recording voltage is controlled to the best voltage to obtain a sharp image with sufficient density at low cost by the simple constitution irrelevantly to the paper thickness.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recorder which does not scum a sheet and attains an image having excellent contrast by transferring magnetic toner to a sheet to be conveyed between a screw ball and a conductive magnetic unit by means of magnetic force and electrostatic force. CONSTITUTION:A linear electrode 19 made of ferromagnetic metal material is spirally provided on the outer surface of a sleeve 13, one end of the spiral electrode 19 is grounded through a rotary shaft 13a, and poles are formed at a predetermined interval at the linear electrode 19. Sheets P placed on a sheet supply cassette 10 are conveyed from the uppermost sheet P into an electrostatic recorder 1 by the rotation of a sheet supply roll 2, and fed to a printing position F between a recording electrode 8 and the sleeve 13 (linear electrode 19) by conveying roll pair 3. During this period, adhering/non-adhering (printing/non- printing) of toner to the lower surface of the sheet are repeated, and an image is sequentially printed on the lower surface of the sheet P. The toner is not adhered to the whole surface of the sleeve, and the toner adhered only to the linear electrode is not slidably contacted with the sheet in case of non-printing. Therefore, it can prevent the sheet from scumming.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording device which improves image quality and is made capable of preventing paper texture from staining by method wherein a first voltage corresponding to printing information is applied to a segment electrode, and a second voltage of a same phase as that of the first voltage is applied to a control electrode. CONSTITUTION:High voltage is applied to segment electrodes 3b-1, 3b-2,... selected by printing data, and control voltage is outputted to control electrodes 13a to 13c. Thereby, an electric field E' is formed between the segment electrodes 3b-1, 3b-2,... and a linear electrode 9 via clearances between the control electrodes 13a and 13b and between 13b and 13c. Besides, for a non printing period while the high voltage is not applied to the segment electrodes 3b-1, 3b-2, bias voltage is applied to the control electrodes 13a and 13c. Therefore, toner T stuck to an under surface of a film 12 receives coulomb force on the film 12 side. Then, the toner T is neither scattered and texture staining caused by the toner T is nor generated on paper P.
