Abstract: Hydraulic height-adjustment vehicle suspension system includes an arrangment for blocking up the suspension and adapted to prevent the collapsing thereof when the vehicle is kept stationary for a prolonged time period. The blocking arrangement includes a buffer member retractable and engageable in the fashion of a chock or the like, between a movable member of the suspension system and a fixed portion of the body or chassis of the vehicle. Preferably, a control for each buffer member includes a hydraulic receiver operating against the force of a return spring urging the buffer member to its retracted position, and a hydraulic chamber is provided which communicates with the receivers and is urged to its hydraulic fluid delivering condition by the actuation of the hand brake control of the vehicle to its brake applying position.

Abstract: A device comprising means capable of emitting an electrical signal and means responsive to said signal and adapted to command a change of gear. The means capable of emitting the signal include a light source which can be caused to communicate with a receiver element capable of triggering the electrical signal, and two rotatable shafts, the angular amplitudes of whose rotations depend respectively on engine operating parameters. The two shafts cooperate with means for causing the light emitter and receiver to communicate. Application to the control of an automobile gearbox.

Abstract: 1345467 Valves SOC ANON AUTOMOBILES CITROEN 7 June 1972 [9 June 1971] 26519/72 Heading F2V A valve for vehicle anti-skid systems has a valve member 3 for selectively communicating a work port 14 with an inlet 9 or an outlet 10, a chamber 16 in which the working pressure biases the valve member to the left and an electromagnetic device having a permanent magnet 18 and a coil 22 on a cup 23 which acts on the valve member to bias it to the right, the pressure in the work port being a function of the current in the coil 22. The coil may be mounted on a member which is connected by levers to a cup acting on the valve member and the permanent magnet may be replaced by a coil. The pressure in chamber 16 may act on a reduced diameter pin abutting the valve member. The force of the electromagnetic device may act in the opposite direction and together with the bias from chamber 16 oppose a further force on the valve member.

Abstract: 1310290 Lubricating SOC ANON AUTOMOBILES CITROEN 18 June 1970 [26 June 1969] 29745/70 Heading F2A [Also in Division F1] In an overhead valve gear of an internal combustion engine, pressurized lubricant is supplied to each bearing zone formed between the heel of each rocker and its associated cam, via a bore 4, Fig. 1, in a rocker shaft 2, a radial hole 4a or 4b, Fig. 2, in the shaft 2 and via a port 6a or 6b in the rocker 5, the holes 4a, 4b registering with the ports 6a, 6b. In view of the hole 4a, Fig. 5a, being smaller than the port 6a, the direction of the sprayed lubricant is fixed and in view of the hole 4b, Fig. 4a, being larger than the port 6b, the direction of the sprayed lubricant is not fixed. In use pressurized lubricant is supplied to a duct 8, Fig. 2, in the cam-shaft 1 and, upon alignment of radial holes 9 in the camshaft 1 with passages 10 formed in a cylinder head 11, the duct 8 is connected to a passage 16 in the rocker shaft 2, which leads to the bore 4 therein, and is connected to a passage 16 in a rocker shaft 3 which leads to a duct 12 to lubricate the rocker bearings.
