Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the titled optical element which is utilized for a display device, a recording device, a storage, etc. each having excellent driving property, productivity, durability, and dependability by preparing a monomolecular film or built-up films of monomolecular layers with the Langmuir.Blodget method.
CONSTITUTION: Higher fatty acid such as CH
    3 (CH
    2 )
16 COOH, cyanine pigment shown by the general formula I , etc. are used as organic compds. in the method for preparing an optical element furnished with a monomolecular film consisting of an organic compd. molecule having at least a hydrophobic part and a hydrophilic part or built-up films of monomolecular layers and with a heating element for heating the monomolecular film or the built-up films of monomolecular layers. The monomolecular film or the built-up films of monomolecular layers is prepared, for example, by using the Langmuir.Blodget method (LB method). When the balance between both hydrophilic group and hydrophobic group (balance between both affinities for solvent) is appropriately kept in a molecule having both said groups in the molecule, a monomolecular layer is formed on the water surface with the hydrophilic group directed downward. The LB method utilizes said fact.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to take out a photometric result at every arbitrary minute region on a specimen, by straightly moving a monochromatic laser beam spot on a specimen and outputting a signal at a predetermined photometric position while integrating the same. CONSTITUTION:Laser beam made monochromatic by a spectroscope 2 is condensed onto a specimen 4 and secondary beam transmitted therethrough is sent to a photomultiplier unit 6. A specimen cell 3 is vibrated at a constant cycle by a vibration control unit 5 and the locus at the laser beam spot position on the specimen 4 forms a line. A photometric position determination means 12 generates a sampling trigger signal in synchronous relation to the control signal of the vibration control unit 5 and a sampling gate 14 passes a photocurrent signal (e) by a sampling pulse. The photocurrent signal (e) receives the discrimination between a specimen signal (g) and a reference signal (f) by a discriminator circuit 15 and both signals are respectively sent to integrator circuits 16, 17, to receive integration and amplification.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily control ink properties, by controlling the concn. of inorg. salts contained in ink while detecting and displaying the same. CONSTITUTION:In a dye purifying apparatus 2, an aqueous dye solution consisting of a powdery dye and pure water is controlled by a salt reducing filter so as to bring the concn. of inorg. salts therein to a predetermined value and the dye concn. thereof is also controlled while the treated dye solution is mixed with a water soluble org. solvent, an additive and pure water through valves 6-8 in a predetermined ratio under stirring in a preparation tank 1 to prepare desired ink. In this case, the liquid amount, the dye concn. and the concn. of inorg. salts according to an ion chromatography method of the ink are detected by detection parts 10-12 and the detected values are displayed. Therefore, the property control of the ink can be performed by this display and the ink for ink jet recording having stable quality can be obtained.
