Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a photo-recording element capable of high reliable high- density recording by a method in which at least one of A-layer, B-layer and a light absorptive layer is made up of the monomolecular film or its laminate film of constituent substances and a protective layer is further provided. CONSTITUTION:A laminate consisting of A-layer 2 of a color-forming compound, B-layer 4 of an auxochromic compound and a light absorptive layer 3 of a light absorptive substance which is provided between the A- and B-layers 2 and 4 is supported through the B-layer 4 on a base plate 1, and a protective layer 30 is formed on the A-layer 2. At least one of the A- and B-layers and the layer 2, 4 and 3 is made up of the monomolecular film or its laminate film of constituent substances, and the other layer is formed of deposit films. When infrared rays are irradiated onto them, the compound of the A-layer is contracted with the compound of the B-layer and a chromogenic reaction proceeds to form color points at given positions. Information can thus be recorded.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording element capable of performing highly reliable high density recording, by constituting a B-layer comprising a phenolic compound from a layer comprising a monomolecular film and the built-up film thereof. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording element comprises a laminate wherein an A-layer 2 comprising a leuco dye and a B-layer 4 comprising a phenolic compound are laminated and a light absorbing layer 3 is further provided on the B-layer 4 and the B-layer 4 is formed of a monomolecular film or the built-up film thereof while each of the A-layer 2 and the light absorbing layer 3 is formed of a built-up film and the light absorbing layer 3 is supported by a substrate. Because the B-layer is constituted of the monomolecular film having molecularly high degree of order and orientation or the built-up film thereof, reactive parts can be mutually isolated by the non-reactive parts in the molecule and the closely adhered constitution of the A-layer and the B-layer is enabled. The light absorbing layer is heated by the irradiation of infrared rays and, by the heat conductance thereof, the leuco dye of the A-layer and the phenolic thereof, the leuco dye of the A-layer and the phenolic compound of the B-layer are contacted under heating to allow color forming reaction to advance and developed color dots are formed at predetermined positions to enable the recording of information.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to take out a photometric result at every arbitrary minute region on a specimen, by moving a laser beam spot on the specimen so as to form a plane and outputting a signal at a predetermined photometric position while integrating the same. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from a beam source 1 is condensed to a specimen 4 and secondary beam transmitted therethrough is sent to a spectroscope 2. A specimen cell 3 is moved to two directions crossing laser beam at right angles by a vibration control unit 5 and the locus at a laser beam spot position forms a plane on the specimen 4. A photometric position setting means 12 generates a sampling trigger pulse (c) in synchronous relation to the control signal of the vibration control unit 5 and a sampling gate 14 passes a photocurrent signal (e) for a definite time. The photocurrent signal (e) passes through the sampling gate 14 receives discrimination between a specimen signal (g) and a reference signal (f) by a discriminator circuit 15 and both signals (g), (f) are respectvely sent to integrator circuits 16, 17, and integrated and amplified thereby.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium having high sensitivity to an energy signal by providing a photoconductive layer, a monomolecular film or accumulated monomolecular film of a metallic chelate compd. and a transparent base having a transparent electrode on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:When rays 9 having adequate light intensity are irradiated on a recording medium formed by laminating a photoconductive layer 6, a metallic chelate compd. 3, an electrode 7 and a base 8 on a conductive substrate 1, only the photoconductive layer of the irradiated part is made conductive. When an electric field is applied between the substrate 1 and the electrode 7, a strong electric field is impressed between the photoconductive layer which is made conducting and the electrode 7 to have an extreme difference in the intensity of the electric field from the part where the rays are not irradiated. The metallic ions in the monomolecular film or accumulated monomolecular film of the compd. 3 only in the part where the strong electric field is impressed, i.e., the part where the light is irradiated are reduced, by which the metal 10 is freed and the recording image consisting of the metal atoms is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium having high sensitivity to an energy signal by laminating a monomolecular film of a metallic chelate compd. and a monomolecular film of metal-free ligands on a substrate or providing a monomolecular film, etc. composed of the metallic chelate compd. and the metal-free ligands thereon. CONSTITUTION:Active energy 7 is irradiated imagewise on a colorless or pale- colored metallic chelate compd. 3 on a substrate, by which a ligand exchange reaction is induced between the adjacent metal-free ligands 4 without the aid of a binder and a colored metallic chelate compd. 6 is generated imagewise. The recording medium having extremely high sensitivity to an energy signal can be thereby formed and a monomolecular film or accumulated monomolecular film can be formed by using a Langmuir Brojet (LB) method. The recording medium is easily increasable in area, the construction of the recording medium is extremely simple and the smaller amt. of the metallic chelate compd. to be used is required.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To continuously and automatically obtain a purified dye solution suitable for preparing ink-jet recording ink, etc., by the chromatographic treatment of a dye solution to remove the inorganic salts contained, fractionating the resultant solution followed by refluxing part of it.
CONSTITUTION: A dye powder 22 and pure water are fed to the preparation tank 24, being mixed and dissolved to prepare an aqueous dye solution. Subsequently, this solution is filtered to remove contaminated particles, etc., being fed to the feed tank 31 followed by feeding it to the on-off units 43 in the purification section 41, where a control operation is performed to determined whether the aqueous dye solution, pure water, and secondary solution should be fed to the salt-reducing filter units 44. If fed to the units 44, said dye solution and secondary solution are subjected to chromatography to eliminate the inorganic salts contained, and part of the resultant solution is returned, as the secondary solution, to the purification section 41, thus accomplishing purification.
