Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser array module and a cooling manifold in which a number of laser array units are arranged at a high density.
SOLUTION: A laser array module 100 comprises a plurality of laser array units 10 and a cooling manifold 30 on which the laser array units are mounted. The laser array unit 10 has a laser array 12, a heat sink 14 having a coolant passage, a coolant inflow pipe 16 and a coolant outflow pipe 18 communicating with the coolant passage. The coolant inflow pipe 16 and the coolant outflow pipe 18 are housed in connection ports 32, 33 of the cooling manifold. The coolant outflow pipe 18 is passed through a coolant inflow passage 40 and a communication passage 44 to communicate with a coolant outflow passage 42. Since this suppresses the thickness of the cooling manifold from being increased, the laser array units are arranged at a high density if the laser array modules are stacked. As a result, exciting light for a good quality of solid-state laser having a large irradiation surface area is generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an optical deflector capable of efficiently imparting deflection to light at a high speed and efficiently obtaining deflected output light. CONSTITUTION:The input light which is linearly polarized light deflected in a z-axis direction and progresses in a y-direction is inputted to a polarization beam splitter 100 and transmits the splitter in the state of rectilinearly polarized light. The light is outputted from the splitter and is inputted to an electrooptical crystal 200 and is subjected to primary deflection during the passage. The primarily deflected light is rotated in the plane of deflection by passing a quarter- wave plate 300 until the light arrives at a reflection mirror 410. The light is reflected in the direction approximately opposite to the input direction and is again passed through the quarter-wave plate 300, by which the linearly polarized light having the deflection direction in approximately the x-axis direction is obtd. The light is inputted to the optical crystal 200 and is further subjected to secondary deflection during the transmission. The secondarily deflected light is reflected approximately to a right angle by the polarization beam splitter 100 and is outputted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the modulating direction of a two-dimensional optical phase distribution highly accurately and at high speeds. CONSTITUTION:Analog signals A1, A2 output from the corresponding heterodyne interferometers 11, 12 assume two-dimensional light distributions modulated in intensity with a predetermined frequency. Binarizing devices 21, 22 binarize the signals A1, A2 in accordance with the two-dimensional intensity distributions, thereby feeding light analog signals D1, D2. Adder devices 30, 40 carry out OR of the signals D1, D2, with feeding a light operational signal S2. The light signal at each point of the light operational signal S2 has a time width reflecting the phase difference at the corresponding point in the signals D1, D2, and is a periodic pulse signal repeated with the same period as the light analog signals. Therefore, if the periodic pulse signal is integrated at each point and subjected to a functional process, the phase difference at each point of the two-dimensional light analog signal can be detected in parallel as the intensity.

First and second light heterodyne interference means 51 and 52 convert a first two-dimensional light phase information regarding the surface to be measured of the object 61 to be measured and a second two-dimensional light phase information which becomes a reference to first and second two-dimensional signals on a specified time carrier frequency. First and second threshold elements 53 and 54 convert these into two-dimensional binary-coded light information. A light logic operation element 56 takes these through a beam splitter 55 and generates a two-dimensional logical product light signal between pieces of binary-coded light information. A two-dimensional integral element 57 integrates two-dimensional logic integral light signal.
