Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sol-gel film forming method capable of reducing the unevenness in the thickness of a formed thin film.
SOLUTION: A tool 60 used for dipping a base material 50 into a sol liquid and pulling up is made by bending a stripe-like plate as shown by Figure. The base material 50 is placed on the tool 60 in use so that the surface 61 of one end part of the tool 60 is in contact with the ridge line between the side surface 51 of one side and the bottom surface 53 of the base material 50 and the surface 62 of another end part of the tool 60 is in contact with the ridge line between side surface 52 of another side and the bottom surface 53 of the base material 50. The base material 50 is dipped into the sol liquid 96 housed in a vessel 95 and pulled up at a fixed speed obtained by the design. In the pulling up, the sol flowing downward on the side surfaces 51 and 52 of the base material 50 furthermore flows downward from the side surfaces 51 and 52 along the surfaces 61 and 62 of the tool 60.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a device to be simple and a high-accuracy detection to be performed by detecting a displacement and the displacement direction of a fluorescent substance based on an output of a fluorescence detection means. CONSTITUTION:Assume, for example, that an object to be inspected 50 and a fluorescent tape 28 moves a specified distance d or longer in left and right directions after pastel emission of a Xenon lamp 12a. In this case, a portion of the fluorescent tape which emitted fluorescence at a specified region 24 immediately after emitting pulses passes a first detection region 34a. Therefore, a quantity of detected light by a light detector 14a increases momentarily and then decreases. A control circuit 16 calculates a time t from irradiation with an excited light to detection of fluorescence at the light detector 14a according to a peak value of a fluorescent detection output from the light detector 14a. Also, this time t enables an average traveling speed of the object to be inspected 50 to be obtained since the specified distance d between the specified region 24 and the detection region 34a is predetermined, thus enabling a displacement to be measured highly accurately.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify a structure and miniaturize a displacement detector by a method wherein a returning means rotates a container to constantly keep a movable member at a reference position and also a displacement detecting means detects a relative position between a member whose displacement is to be detected and the container. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum container 4 whose rotation is controlled only by a servo motor 2 does not rotate with respect to an outer package 1. A movable member 8 keeps an original azimuth or position by inertia. As a result, the member 8 rotates relatively to the container 4 and the outer package 1. When the member 8 rotates, outputs from light detectors 14a, 14b are monitored by a control circuit 16, and when difference in the outputs is a determined value or higher, a shift of the member 8 from a reference position is determined and a direction of the shift is identified depending on whether the difference is positive or negative. The motor 2 is driven by the circuit 16 according to the result, and the member 8 is returned to the reference position with respect to the container 4. Thus if a rotation amount of the container 4 is monitored by a rotation encoder 18, angular displacement can be easily detected.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a simply structured, compact and light-weighted displacement detector which enables highly accurate displacement detection by providing a movable member which is freely rotatably supported by a supporting means which can rotate around X, Y and Z axes and a shift detecting means which detects a direction of the shift. CONSTITUTION:Even if a member 1 whose displacement is to be detected and a supporting member 6 rotate around a rotation axis, when a movable member 7 is shifted from its reference position, shift detecting means 31 to 36 detect occurrence of the shift and shift directions with respect to (x),(y) and (z) axes provided on the member. When the shift of the member 7 from the reference position is detected, returning means 2, 12, 22 rotate the member 7 around a rotation axis of one of X, Y and Z axes corresponding to a shift direction with respect to each of (x), (y) and (z) axes of the member 7. In this case, the means 2, 12, 22 rotate the means 6 in such a direction to follow the shift of the member 7. The means 1 detects a rotation amount of the means 6 relative to the means 1 with respect to the X, Y and Z axes to detect displacement of a displacement detector 4 itself.
