Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous dispersion of fine oxycellulose fiber capable of forming an aqueous dispersion containing a finely divided oxycellulose fiber and having high transparency. SOLUTION: The method for producing a dispersion of oxycellulose fiber comprises a step to oxidize a cellulose fiber to obtain an oxycellulose fiber having a carboxyl group content of 0.1-2.0 mmol/g in the cellulose constituting the cellulose fiber and a step to mechanically treat the oxycellulose fiber to obtain oxycellulose fiber having an average fiber diameter of ≤200 nm, wherein the mechanical treatment is carried out by using a high-speed rotary dispersing apparatus having a rotor and rotating the rotor at a peripheral velocity of the blade tip of ≥10 m/s. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet shielding inorganic particle dispersion contains a 1-4C lower alcohol and a silicone oil, wherein inorganic particles and a polymer dispersant are dispersed in a solvent containing the lower alcohol of 10-80 wt.% which inorganic particles are covered with an organic substance and have ≤0.1 μm primary average particle diameter and ultraviolet shielding ability, and the concentration of the inorganic particles is 7.5-18 vol.%, and wherein the secondary volume-average particle diameter of the inorganic particle after being dispersed is ≤0.2 μm and the dispersion weight average particle diameter of the polymer dispersant is 0.01-0.7 time of the average distance between inorganic particles, and a production method of the dispersion is provided. And the ultraviolet shielding cosmetics containing the dispersion is provided.
