    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of an optical pickup device provided in an optical disk player, etc. SOLUTION: An optical unit 60 of this device is provided with a first light emitting means A having a first semiconductor laser 61 as a light source and a second light emitting means B having a second semiconductor laser 62 as a light source. Light beams transmitted from the first and second light emitting means A and B are made incident on the same position of a main beam splitter 66 with almost the same output, incident on an objective lens 31 through the main beam splitter 66, are irradiated/converged on an optical disk 101, the semiconductor lasers 61 and 62 of the first and second light emitting means A and B are changed over by a changeover switch, connected to a power source circuit and separately operated for emitting light.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly position a light emitting/receiving device even when a substrate is dislocated and stuck to a metallic base by positioning the light emitting/receiving device on a prescribed position on the metallic base based on a reference mark formed on a plate base. SOLUTION: At the time of assembling, a light emitting/receiving device 32 is positioned/fixed on a prescribed position on an optical base 31a so that one side edge of the light emitting/receiving device 32 becomes an equal distance at both sides based on a reference mark 40 of a conductive pattern formed on a glass epoxy substrate 31b. Thereafter, a mirror assembly and a biaxial actuator are positioned/adjusted on the basis of mounting hole provided on the plate base 31a. Consequently, the assembling of the respective optical parts are easily performed since they are exactly positioned on the optical base of the plate base and the sticking accuracy to the plate base of the glass epoxy substrate requires not so much accuracy.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position the light emitting and receiving element by constituting the jig out of a base member, the elements to be set by positioning themselves to this member and an elastic member for pressing the element. SOLUTION: The light emitting and receiving element 120 is adjusted in a direction of Y so as to position a laser beam L in a prescribed position on a disk, and moreover, the element 120 is adjusted only in a direction of Y1 by a fine adjustment screw 315 so as to make the beam L on-track, and afterward, a pressing projection 318 and a sheet 341 are stuck to each other by an adhesive BO and fixed up. In addition, the element 120 is also fixed to a fixing part 110b of the base member 110 by an adhesive BON. After this fixing, a holding member 310 and the elastic member 340 are removed from the element 120. Thus, the member 310 can be reused, and resource economization and cost saving can be realized. Then, even when the member 310 is displaced by the member 110 in case of its creeping, this displacement amt. can be absorbed by the member 340, thus preventing displacement of high precision positioning of the element 120.

Because, an optical disk is placed upward the connector 50, that is, to the first direction A side. Then, when the optical disk exists in the first direction A, the probes PB are brought into contact with the check terminals 71, 72 of the second check terminal group 70 so as to respectively correspond to them from the second direction B. By such a manner, required signals are checked even in the state that the optical disk is loaded, and is rotatively driven.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of coma aberration by setting a light transmission surface so that its light path lengths become nearly equal related to all areas of a spot of a light beam transmitting through mold resin. SOLUTION: The light beam from a semiconductor laser element 22c in a light receiving/emitting device 22 is tilted slightly, by a slope angle θ2 of e.g. 6 degree related to a horizontal direction by being reflected at an acute angle by its inner surface 23b while being made incident on the optical path bend mirror 23 and outgoing from that. On the other hand, the outgoing surface 23c of the light path bend mirror 23 is tilted by a taper angle θ1, e.g. 6 degree since it has a mold removing taper at a molding time. Thus, since the light beam transmitting through an incident surface 23a, an inner surface 23b and the outgoing surface 23c in the bend mirror 23 becomes a nearly equal optical path length in all areas of its spot, the coma aberration is not caused.

SOLUTION: The cover 23 for a light emitting part is designed to cover a laser light source 22c emitting a laser beam, provided with a light transmitting surface vertical to the optical path of a laser beam from the laser light source 22c, and formed by resin molding. In this case, the cover 23 for the light emitting part is resin-molded by properly selecting a resin flowing direction at the time of molding so that the cover is provided with such a counter astigmatism as to cancel the astigmatism intrinsic to the laser light source, at least on its light transmitting surface.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a positional relationship among a light source, a lens bobbin (coil bobbin) and yokes 27a and 27b by easy work in an optical pickup device constituted by arranging optical part items such as a light source and an objective lens driving mechanism on a substrate. SOLUTION: Yokes 27a and 28b are moved in a two-dimensional direction along the upper surface of a substrate and connected to an adjusting plate 54 adjusted in a three-dimensional direction on the substrate via holes 57 and 59 and dowels 63 and 64. A lens bobbin (coil bobbin) is attached to the adjusting plate 54 via a flexible leaf spring. The lens bobbin is adjusted to a proper position against a light source while maintaining its positional relationship with the yokes 27a and 27b.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To omit an exclusive motor by switching off a switch means when a tape type recording medium is loaded and then turning on the switch means when the recording medium is drawn to the cassette side from a drive path. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 16 is drawn out of a tape cassette 70 and wound round the outer circumference of a head drum 17 containing a rotary head. Under such conditions, the tape 16 is pressed to a capstan 23 by a pinch roller 27. Thus the tape 16 is driven by the capstan 23. Therefore the tape 16 is driven with contact secured with an erasion head 21 and a control head doubling an audio head as well as the rotary head provided to the drum 17. Then the tape 16 is taken up by a reel drive disk 12 which is driven by a reel motor 13 via gears 14 and 15.
