    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the opening of an ink jet hole against damage while preventing a liquid repellent processing film from being stripped by forming a liquid repellent processing film having adhesion in the vicinity of the opening and bonding an ink jet hole protective member having an opening larger than the ink jet hole using the liquid repellent processing film as an adhesive. SOLUTION: An ink jet hole forming member, i.e., an orifice plate 33, is bonded to the major surface 31b of an ink pressure chamber forming member 31 and a liquid repellent processing film 42 is formed on the periphery of a part where an ink jet hole 33a is opened. An ink jet hole protective member 43 having an opening 43a larger than the opening of the ink jet hole 33a is bonded onto the major surface of the orifice plate 33 using the the liquid repellent processing film 42 as an adhesive. Nickel, polyimide, or the like, is used as the material. According to the arrangement, no damage occur in the vicinity of the opening 43a and the liquid repellent processing film 42 is prevented from being stripped. Furthermore, accuracy of the ink jet hole 33a and liquid repellence are prevented from degrading due to spreading out of adhesive because additional adhesive is not required.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a process time, enhance productivity and obtain a shape of a piezoelectric element divided to conform to a discharge shape of a solution, by forming a resist on a primary face of a piezoelectric material bonded to a vibrating plate and blowing powder particles as a mask. SOLUTION: A jet flow of solid-gas two phases having approximately 5-30μm diamond particles mixed therein is blown with the use of a sand blast apparatus or a powder beam etching apparatus onto a piezoelectric material 43 where a resist material 201 is formed. The piezoelectric material 43 is processed in a shape conforming to a shape of the resist material 201. A piezoelectric element 35 is thus formed. In this case, approximately 5-30μm fine diamond particles are used, so that a ratio of process speeds of the piezoelectric material 43 to be the piezoelectric element 35 and a copper material constituting a second vibrating plate 32y can be nearly 8-9.

SOLUTION: An ejection medium nozzle 42 communicated to an ejection medium pressurizing chamber 45 housing an ejection medium is formed such that a nozzle forming member in which a plate member 40 and an organic material film 41 are laminated is penetrated by the nozzle 42 and the nozzle 42 is opened on a surface of the organic material film 41. A diameter at a portion the plate member 40 is roughly equal to that at a portion of the organic material film 41. It is possible to similarly form a metering medium nozzle communicated to a metering medium pressurizing chamber housing a metering medium. It is preferable that a part on the plate member 40 is formed by, for example, an electroforming method and a part on the organic material film 41 is by, for example, a laser machining process such as an application machining process by an exima laser. It is possible to form the pressurizing chamber 45 by the laser machining process such as the application machining process by the exima laser.

SOLUTION: Pressure is applied to a metered medium in a metered medium pressure chamber 4 filled with the metered medium using a piezo element 20, and the metered medium is mixed with a jetting medium in a jetting medium nozzle 2 which communicates with the metered medium pressure chamber 9 filled with the jetting medium. Further, pressure is applied to the jetting medium contained in the pressure chamber 9 with the help of a heating element 23 to jet a mixed liquid droplet of the metered medium and the jetting medium. The piezo element 20 may be used as a means for applying pressure to the jetting medium and the heating element 23 may be used as a means for applying pressure to the metered medium. In addition, a nozzle 1 for the metered medium and the jetting medium nozzle 2 are preferably of such a configuration that these nozzles 1, 2 are opened at mutually adjacent positions. Besides, both pressure chamber 4 for the metered medium and heating element 23 are preferably of the monolithic form using a single member of a heating element plate 90.

Thereby, a pressure in the pressure chamber 31C is increased to discharge the ink from a discharge nozzle 33A. When an driving voltage is impressed successively a little later to the piezoelectric element 37, the diaphragm 32 is displaced. Thereby, a pressure in the pressure chamber 31E is increased to feed ink to the pressure chamber 31C through the communicating hole 31D.
