Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement in the resistance to corrosion and abra sion without deteriorating a soft magnetic characteristic by specifying the compo sition ranges of Co, Si and Al and further adding Ru of specified atm% in an alloy thin film of Fe-Co-Si-Al group. CONSTITUTION:This soft magnetic thin film is mainly composed of Fe, Co, Si and Al and the composition ranges of said Co, Si and Al are 1-15atm% Co and 10-20atm% Si, 8-15atm% Al. Furthermore, Ru of 0.1-10atm% is included. In case of the composition of the soft magnetic thin film as Fe68Co10 Al9Si13-xRux (figures represent atm%), when the quantity of abrasion 15 examined while changing the addition quantity (x) of Ru, the quantity of abrasion becomes extremely small according to an increase in addition quantity of Ru, for example, even after the 30hr running of a magnetic head and more sperior resistance to abrasion than Sendust can been observed when Ru is 4atm%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance and wear resistance to a large extent, and prevent deterioration in soft magnetic characteristic and decrease in saturation magnetic flux density, by adding Ru to Sendust alloy whose basic components are Fe, Al and Si, CONSTITUTION:The main components of the titled device are Fe, Al and Si whose constitution ranges are 3-10wt% for Al and 5-15wt% for Si, and moreover, Ru of 2-15wt% is contained. The addition of Ru is extremely effective to improve corrosion resistance and wear resistance. For example, the amount of wear is investigated by varing the Ru addition amount (x) to the soft magnetic thin film whose composition is Fe72-x Rux Si17 Al11 (where numerical values indicate wt%). This result shows remarkable effects in reducing the amount of wear as shown in the figure.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the saturated magnetic flux density of the titled soft magnetic thin film higher than that of the Sendust alloy without changing soft magnetic characteristics and the like by a method wherein Fe, Co, Ga and Si are selected as the constituent elements of the soft magnetic thin film, and the compositional ratio of said elements is set within the prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:In order to increase the density of saturated magnetic flux, the composition of the titled soft magnetic thin film is set as FexCoyGaaSib (the compositional ratio of x, y, a and b is indicated by atomic %) taking into consideration of the fact that the point of intersection of the line of magnetostriction lambdas=0 with the line of crystal magnetic anisotropy K=0 is to be set closer to the side of Fe high density, and that the rate of reduction of magnetic moment in absolute zero and the addition of Co improves the density of saturated magnetic flux, the corrosion resistance and the abrasion resistance of the soft magnetic thin film. In this compositional ratio, when the adding quantity of Co is too much, the density of saturated magnetic flux and soft magnetic characteristics are deteriorated in inverse proportion to the corrosion resistance and the abrasion resistance. Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the substantial reduction in permeability especially in the super high frequency zone of 10MHz or above by a method wherein a plurality of layers of metal magnetic material layers are laminated through an electric insulating layer, and between each metal magnetic material layer is electrically short-circuited locally. CONSTITUTION:Metal magnetic material layers 1a-1c are laminated through the intermediaries of electric insulating layers 2a and 2b and, at the same time, a conductive material layer 3 with which between metal magnetic material layers 1a and 1c is electrically short-circuited locally is formed in deposition on one side face of the laminated body. An eddy current runs along the closed curved line E as shown by arrows in the diagram. As the high frequency eddy current runs on the conductive material layer 3, the part (shaded part) which is turned to an almost reactive region judging from the view-point of permeability, is reduced remarkably. As a result, the lowering of permeability in an extra-high frequency zone can be prevented effectively.
