    Abstract: PURPOSE:To not only reduce the calculation volume but also simplify hardware without degrading the detection precision by simultaneously evaluating the errors between feature values indicating features of each subblock in at least two directions of a reference block and those indicating features in each subblock in at least two directions of a check block to detect a matching block. CONSTITUTION:A subblock dividing circuit 6 divides image data of MXN reference blocks outputted from a present frame memory 1 into plural subblocks. In the same manner, subblock dividing circuit 7 divides MXN check blocks outputted from a reference frame memory 3 into plural subblocks. They are divided into, for example, M blocks in the horizontal direction and N blocks in the vertical direction, and these blocks are supplied, to feature extracting circuits 8A, 8B, 9A, and 9B. Thereafter, respective outputs are supplied to comparison and absolute value circuits 10A and 10B by directions, and their outputs are supplied to a weighting and adding circuit 11. Sums of absolute values of differences in respective directions are weighted and added to obtain an evaluation value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To generate a two-dimensional super-resolution beam by forming a conical recess on the side where beams of parallel light are incident, and forming a conical projection on the opposite side thereto. CONSTITUTION:Light beams are incident to the apex 34a of a conical recess 34 formed from a surface 31 and undergoes refracting in the direction of the periphery. The recess 34 is formed in a cone and refracts the beam in the direction of the periphery even in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the illustration and even in the other directions, and when this refracted beam is incident to a projection 35, it again undergoes refracting and is emitted in the form of a photo-beam parallel with the optical axis. As a result, a region free from photo-beam is formed within a region which is limited with a certain radius with the optical axis at the center. Between the end face 33 and the surface 31, a mounting plane 36 is formed vertical to the optical axis and arranged perpendicularly to the end face 33 formed parallel with the optical axis. This mounting plane 36 allows mounting of an optical element 64 in place vertically to the optical axis.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the recording system which surely records the signals of the entire effective period of high-vision signals, facilitates recording signal processing and can record audio signals and video signals in separate areas. CONSTITUTION:The brightness signals and color signals of the high-vision signals are respectively sampled at prescribed frequencies. The sampling output signals are divided to two channels and the signals of the respective channels are respectively converted to the signals for recording in the state of adding additive signal, such as synchronizing signals, to the signals formed by time divided multiplexing of the brightness signals and color signals for every prescribed time at every specified period H*. These signals are recorded as plural tracks and plural segments. The number of the above-mentioned samples per 1H* and the number of H* per 1 frame are selected at adequate values.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure consecution and to prevent occurrence of ringing by providing a signal interpolation means inserting 1st-3rd interpolation signals sequentially at a time interval. CONSTITUTION:An interpolation signal generating insertion circuit 40 is provided with a luminance signal memory 40A, a color difference signal memory 40B, an interpolation signal generating circuit 40C, and an interpolation signal storage register 40D. In response to a final color difference signal and a first luminance signal, a signal connecting them almost consecutively is used as an interpolation signal, the same signal as the final color difference signal CF is generated at a 1st 1/3 time interval, a signal connecting consecutively the first a luminance signal and the final color difference signal is generated at an intermediate 1/3 time interval and the same signal as the first luminance signal YS is generated at the final time interval and inserted. The intermediate interpolation signal is used to connect consecutively the final color difference signal CF and the initial luminance signal YS. Thus, steep leading or trailing is not in existence in the luminance signal and occurrence of ringing is prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform post-recording and the recording/reproduction of a signal satisfactorily with configuration by performing the time base compression of a video signal and a PCM audio signal, arranging them within the rotating period of 180 deg. of a rotary drum, and planning the position of arrangement. CONSTITUTION:A tape 18 is wound across the range of adjacent 180 deg. of the rotary drum 16, and the time division multiplexing of the video signal and the PCM audio signal are performed by using every kind of memory, an adder, and servo under the control of a control circuit, and the recording/reproduction is performed with heads 17A, 17B. The time base compression (frame memory 11) of the video signal is performed at every prescribed unit period in accordance with the rotation of 180 deg. of the rotary drum, and the time base compression (frame memory 43) of the PCM audio signal in accordance with the unit period is performed to the length of a margin period generated by the time base compression of the video signal, and the time division multiplexing (adders 14A, 14B) is performed on the signal by arranging before a time base-compressed video signal, thereby, the recording of the PCM audio signal to which the time base compression is applied at a rushing part to the recording medium of the head is performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To record an index signal capable of rewrite in simple constitution by making a distance between recording areas of a video signal and an audio signal and a distance between recording areas of two audio signals different from each other and providing a recording area of the index signal between the areas on the side of longer distance. CONSTITUTION:The distances between the recording areas of the video signal and the audio signal and between the two audio signals are varied from each other by monostable multivibrators 16 - 21, and for the purpose of providing the recording area of the index signal to be formed by an index signal forming circuit 24 in between the areas on the side of longer distance out of these distances, monostable multivibraltors 23 and 24 and a switch means 25 are provided. By this method, the recording area of the index signal is provided enough without shortening the essential recording areas of the video signal and the audio signal, and the index signal capable of rewriting is recorded in simple constitution.

CONSTITUTION:When a VHS type tape cassette 1 is loaded into a cassette loading part 71, an inserting pin 77 of the positioning pin 67 and an upper end part 66a of the positioning pin 66 are fitted into the positioning holes. At this time, the inserting pins 77 of the positioning pins 68 and 69 are drawn into supporting cylinders 70 respectively, and the bottom surface of the cassette 1 is placed on upper end surfaces of the supporting cylinders 70. Then, when a new type cassette 15 is loaded, the inserting pins 77 of the pins 68 and 69 are inserted into the positioning holes, while the upper end part of the pin 66 is inserted into a tape drawing recessed part. Then, the inserting pin 77 of the pin 67 is drawn into the supporting cylinder 70, and the bottom surface of the cassette case is placed on the upper end surface 72 of the supporting cylinder 70.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To satisfactorily display an output video signal even by a display device with a different characteristic by applying the waveform characteristic corresponding to the display device, to which the output video signal is sent, to the video signal reproduced by a reproducing means by a waveform characteristic conversion circuit provided in a reproducing signal processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A recording signal processing circuit 10 exerts a recording signal processing upon the input video signal, and the video signal is recorded to a magnetic tape TP by respective magnetic heads 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B provided at a rotary head drum 2 and reproduced from the magnetic tape TP by these respective magnetic heads 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B. By executing a reproducing signal processing at a reproducing signal processing circuit 20, the output video signal is formed. Therefore, the waveform characteristic corresponding to the display device, to which the output video signal is sent, is applied to the video signal over a wide band reproduced from a recording medium by the reproducing means. Thus, the output video signal can be formed to be satisfactorily displayed even by the display device with the different characteristic.

CONSTITUTION:At the time of opening the cover, a pin 30 to be guided, provided on the rear cover 25 is guided by a guide groove 33 provided on a cassette housing 2 as the front cover 13 moves in the cover opening direction and the rear cover 25 is turned in the cover opening direction, and in the guide groove 33, an initial guide part 34 for separating greatly the rear cover 25 to the rear from a tape 7 in the beginning of movement in the cover opening direction of the rear cover 25 is provided. Accordingly, the rear cover 25 is, first of all, separated greatly to the rear from the tape in the beginning of movement in its cover opening direction, therefore, it is prevented that the tape 7 is attracted to the rear cover 25 by static electricity, and at the time of opening the cover, the tape is held in a prescribed position, and it is drawn out surely by a tape draw-out member at the time of loading the tape. In such a way, the generation of tape jamming is prevented.
