Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a laser sublimation type printer in which no color deviation occurs at an image and a beautiful print is obtained. CONSTITUTION: The laser sublimation type printer comprises a rotary drum 3 having a laser sublimation type ink ribbon 2 so wound on the periphery of the drum that an image receiving surface 1a is directed upward in such a manner that the ink surface 2a is brought into close contact with the surface 1a to feed an image receiving sheet 2 and the ribbon 2 are fed by the rotation of the drum and a recording head 4 for emitting a laser light to the ribbon 2 based on print data while reciprocating on a leadscrew parallel to the rotary shaft of the drum 3 to sublimate the ink of the ribbon 2 to transfer it to the sheet 1 to record. The head 4 is so controlled as to always start moving from this side from the print starting position when the data is recorded.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize multibeam scanning and increase print speeds by providing an optical system to collect multiple laser beams emitted from light sources where fiber strings are placed closely or loosely vertically to the direction of scanning. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 10 are coupled to multiple laser device light sources directly or through an optical system. An optical fiber bundle 13 bundling together the multiple optical fibers 10 is fixed to an optional position of a multibeam housing 11 so that they can be handled as if they were a single light source. Multiple beams 14 are emitted from the end portion of the optical fiber bundle 13, each of which forms an image on an imaging face 17 through an optical system 12 comprised of a collimator lens 15 and an image formation lens 16. High-speed sublimation transcription is made easier by arranging fiber strings closely or loosely slightly diagonally to the scanning direction of the multiple fiber bundle and the light source 11 where fiber strings are arranged closely or loosely vertically to the direction of the scanning direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize printing quality as compared with conventional one in a printer. CONSTITUTION:Tension adjusting mechanisms 33, 34 are provided between a cylindrical drum 10 and the supply device 31 of an ink ribbon 3. The tension of the ink ribbon 3 pressed to the cylindrical drum 10 can be kept constant by those tension adjusting mechanisms 33, 34. By this constitution, the friction force between the ink ribbon 3 and image receiving paper 4 is stabilized almost constant. As a result, shift becomes hard to generate between the ink ribbon 3 and the image receiving paper 4 and printing quality is stabilized.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of loading time for an ink ribbon. of a laser sublimation type printer and remove the harmful transfer generated by the contact of an image receiving paper with the ink ribbon for a long time. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon 3 is wound on a bobbin 13A and an image receiving paper 4 is fitted on a drum 10. The ink ribbon 3 is pressed in the narrow width to the image receiving paper 4 on the rotating drum 10 by a press bar 14. Laser beam L is guided to the press bar 14 by a laser scanner and condensed on the ink ribbon 3, and printing is carried out on the image receiving paper by light and heat conversion. The time of printing one color image can be shortened by the arrangement, and an image receiving paper fitting mechanism of a drum can be simplified, and also harmful transfer is hard to generate on the image receiving paper, as the ink ribbon is not wound on the rotating drum nor the image receiving paper, and printing of high quality level can be achieved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To approximately make an image formed dot interval and image forming spot diameter of respective light beam constant when plural light beams, which are arrayed in accordance with the circumference direction of a photosensitive drum, illuminate the drum by making a light beam, which is located at the center of a multibeam column consisting plural light beams, incident on the drum perpendicularly to form the images. CONSTITUTION:When a photosensitive drum 6 are irradiated with plural light beams arrayed in the circumference direction of the photosensitive drum 6, the light beam located at the center of the multibeam column consisting plural light beams is made incident on the drum 6 perpendicularly and an image is formed and the radius of the drum 6 and the arrangement of a light source are selected in accordance with the distance between imaged dots and the number of multibeams and allowable errors in the distance between imaged dots and the diameter of imaged dots. Thus, the dot interval and spot diameter are approximately made constant and imaged dots without unevennes are formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the scanning lines of respective light beams on an image formation surface nearly linear and parallel within a permissible error by using an ftheta lens as an image forming lens by emitting the light beams from a light source in specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The multi-beam light source 2 emits (m) light beams which satisfy the expression. In the expressions, beta is the maximum angle of scanning by a scanning optical system, (j) is the distance between image formation points on a light receiving surface, and L is the maximum scanning width on the light receiving surface when the scan is made at the maximum scanning angle beta. Further, epsilon is the permissible limit of deviation scanning lines, formed when the light receiving surface is scanned with the endmost light beam among the beams, from a straight line and theta is the angle of the optical axis when the endmost light beam is at the maximum scanning angle beta. Then, gamma is the angle between the straight line connecting an image formation point and the center of image formation and the scanning line of the center light beam when the endmost light beam is at the maximum scanning angle beta and alpha is the angle between the traveling direction of the endmost light beam and the optical axis.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To always improve the visual image display on a blackboard sheet and the transfer of the blackboard sheet. CONSTITUTION:After the charge on a blackboard sheet 2 is discharged by using a discharge roller 5, an electrostatic head 4 makes write to form an electrostatic latent image. A toner is semi-fixed to the electrostatic latent image to form a visual image. Cleaning blades 7a, 7b are pressed into contact with the sheet 2 and the blades 7a, 7b are used to scrape the toner. At write of a picture, the sheet 2 is carried reverse to discharge a part (part S) between the roller 5 and the head 4 for writing. There is no difference caused between a surface potential of the part S and part (part T) before the roller 5 thereby preventing a difference from density of each part of a pattern or missing of dot from being caused. Moreover, since the sheet is carried forward after it is carried reverse by a prescribed quantity, the blades 7a, 7b are kept free from the curled sheet 2 at the start of carrying so as to relieve the load at the carrying start thereby preventing out of perforation or a damage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make density of an image unified by supplying voltage pulse intermittently to a predetermined control electrode arranged in adjoining high resistance parts. CONSTITUTION:Adjoining stylus electrode groups Am and Bm and corresponding adjoining control electrodes are not driven continuously. Every second stylus electrode is driven and every third control electrode is driven so that a voltage pulse P2C is supplied to a predetermined control electrode C2 which is arranged in adjoining high resistance part 4ai, for example, high resistance parts 4a1 and 4a2 intermittently, not supplying twice continuously. In this way, since a re-recording action due to a remaining element voltage Vf and a crosstalk noise element voltage Vc to a coming recording part will be gone, a quantity of electric charge to form an electrostatic latent image to be formed on each recording part in the main scanning direction of an electrostatic record medium becomes the same value. Accordingly, when the electrostatic latent image is developed by a toner and an output image is formed, the density of the image will be unified.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To avert ghost and to improve image grade by dividing a conductive layer respectively via high-resistance parts to the widths corresponding to the respective stylus electrode groups of a recording head. CONSTITUTION:Electrostatic recording media 21 are provided opposite to the recording heads 2 consisting of the plural electrode groups A, B consisting of the plural writing stylus electrodes 3 which are respectively independently controlled and control electrodes 4 facing the respective electrode groups A, B. The electrostatic recording media 21 are formed by having the conductive layers 23 and the dielectric layers 24 which are opposed to the stylus electrodes 3 and are electrified by the recording heads 2. The conductive layers 23 are constituted by being divided respectively via the high-resistance parts (including insulating parts) 25 to the widths W corresponding to the widths of the respective electrode groups A, B. As a result, the influence of the voltages of the control electrodes 4 selected at the time of writing is shut off by the high- resistance parts 25 and is no longer exerted to the stylus electrode side of the same system connected to the selected stylus electrodes 3. The ghost is thereby averted and the image grade is improved.
