Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the optical lens which has high film strength and has less film stresses by forming the antireflection film of a lens body consisting of a synthetic resin into a 4-layer structure consisting of an inorg. material having prescribed characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The optical lens consists of the antireflection film formed by laminating a 1st layer 2 which consists of a material having an excellent adhesive property to the synthetic resin, a 2nd layer 3 which consists of a material satisfying spectral characteristics, a 3rd layer 4 which consists of a material having excellent scratching resistance and chemical durability, and a 4th layer 5 which satisfies the spectral characteristics successively on the surface of the lens body consisting of the synthetic resin. The 1st layer 2 plays the roles of assuring the adhesive strength to the lens body consisting of the synthetic resin. The 2nd layer 3 cancels the residual film stress generated in the respective other layers and the 3rd layer 4 plays the role of protecting the lens body. The 4th layer 5 exhibits the function to maintain the optical characteristics. The deformation of the lens body surface is, therefore, obviated and the excellent optical characteristics are assured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stably control a change in the beam path length of reference beam with high accuracy regardless of a change in the wavelength of a beam path, by controlling the angle of rotation of a parallel plate to change the beam path length of the reference beam allowed to interfere with the emitted beam from an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A part of the beams L1-L3 from a common beam source is transmitted through a beam splitter 2 and allowed to irradiate an object 1 to be measured to emit beam from the object to be measured while the remainder is reflected from the beam splitter 2 to obtain reference beam and emitted beam is allowed to interfere with the reference beam by the change of the beam path length of the reference beam. At this time, a transparent parallel plate 6 is arranged in the beam paths of the reflected beams L1, L2. The plate 6 consists of parts 6a, 6b whose thickness are respectively (d), (4d) and permits the respective beams L1, L2 to pass at equal refractivity and the respective beam paths of both beams are changed corresponding to a plurality of predetermined angles of rotation different from each other. Then, the angle of rotation of the parallel plate 6 is controlled on the basis of the change of the interference beam of the beams L2, L3 by a control means 20 and the beam length of the beam L1 is changed to allow the beam L1 to interfere with the emitted beam from the object 1 to be measured. By this method, the fine change of a beam path length is realized by the relatively large angular change of the plate 6.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the disturbance of variation in the tangential skew angle of an optical recording medium to a tracking error signal by arranging an optical attenuating means between a semiconductor laser element and the optical recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: The optical attenuating means is provided in the optical path between the semiconductor laser element 1 and optical recording medium 6. For example, a beam splitter 4 is used as the optical attenuating means; and its transmissivity is set relatively small (e.g. 25%) and its reflection factor is set relatively large (e.g. 65%) respectively.
