PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter having smooth pixel shape and CF surface by using an inkjet method. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the color filter includes at least the steps of: forming a light-shielding layer having a predetermined pattern, on a transparent substrate; discharging a colored ink to an opening of the light-shielding layer by using the inkjet method to achieve a predetermined arrangement, and thereafter evaporating a solvent to form a colored layer (drying step); and heat-curing the colored layer for formation (heating step). The film thickness distribution in the colored layer obtained through the drying step falls in the range of 80 to 110% of the film thickness of the light-shielding layer. SOLUTION: Provided is the inkjet ink composition for the color filter wherein in a color filter including a substrate and a colored layer formed on the substrate, the colored layer is formed of the inkjet ink composition for a color filter comprising at least an organic pigment, a dispersant, a binder component and a solvent, and containing a polyester resin type dispersant represented by a formula (1) as a principal component of s dispersant. Provided is the inkjet ink composition for the color filter wherein the polyester resin type dispersant is contained as the principal component of the dispersant in the ink in an amount of ≥90 wt.% of the entire dispersant. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color filter having a flat pixel shape and a flat surface by using an inkjet process and the color filter. SOLUTION: The method for producing the color filter includes, at the least, a step of forming a light shielding layer consisting of a predetermined pattern on a transparent substrate; a drying step of discharging a coloring material to an opening of the light shielding layer by the inkjet process to make a predetermined array and vaporizing a solvent to form a colored layer; and a heating step of thermocuring the colored layer to form the thermocured colored layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an ink ejection printed matter by an ink ejection system which does not cause a deformation due to heat sagging of a heat curable resin, provides a barrier wall part of an ideal quadrangular or an inverse-tapered shape and, thereby, has a colored composition in each pixel being flat and having no color irregularity. SOLUTION: A barrier wall forming photoresist is applied on a substrate. Thereafter, by performing specified treatment for the substrate on which the photoresist is formed, only the outermost surface is modified in a photoresist layer. Further, the modified layer comes to be hardly dissolved into an alkaline developing solution. Therefore, the lower part of the barrier wall is preferentially developed, the barrier wall part is formed in a satisfactory inverse-tapered shape. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing color filter capable of inexpensively forming a black matrix and a colored pattern in such a satisfactory dimensional precision as to accommodate to a large screen and obtaining a high-definition color filter having no color irregularity without using a photolithography method with a mask. SOLUTION: The color filter is manufactured as follow; a light shielding layer is formed on a transparent substrate by using a printing method, a positive resist layer is formed, thereafter, development is performed by exposing a positive resist layer from the rear side of the transparent substrate, an ink repellent agent is formed on the positive resist layer, whereby, a barrier wall formed by laminating the light shielding layer, the positive resist layer and the ink repellent agent layer is provided and inkjet ink is delivered into the barrier wall.
