Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a picture film for photoengraving extremely easily and inexpensively by forming toner pictures on a light transmittable substrate having a toner-adhesive and ink-repellent surface. CONSTITUTION:A toner-adhesive and ink-repellent film layer (e.g.: a layer coated with the compsn. consisting essentially of the three components; org. polysiloxane, polar group-contg. alkoxysilane and metal-oxygen bond-contg. org. titanium or Zr compd.) is provided on a transparent substrate (e.g.; a substrate consisting of polyester, polyamide, PS, etc.) and the light transmittance thereof is controlled to >=50%. After toner pictures are fixed on such light transmittable substrate, the surface of the light transmittable substrate formed with the toner pictures is inked to increase the optical density in the toner picture parts on the surface of the light transmittable substrate selectively, whereby the picture film for photoengraving is obtained. According to this method, the picture film is produced extremely easily and inexpensively.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm material which excels in both the heat resistance and water resistance, by heating and then forming a sheet into a desired shape which is obtained by mixing the pulp of poly 4-methyl pentene-1 having >=3m /g specific surface area with a highly elastic short fiber. CONSTITUTION:A stock solution containing poly 4-methyl pentene-1, a proper organic solvent and water is controlled and spinned into a fiber form to be then turned into pulp after the crush. This pulp is 0.1-10mm., preferably about 0.5- 5mm. average length and >=3m /g, preferably >=5m /g specific surface area. On the other hand, a short fiber of high elastisity is prepared such as a glass fiber, an aramide fiber, an aromatic polyamide fiber or a polyester fiber. Both such pulp and short fiber are put into the water or a proper aqueous solution and mixed well to be turned into the slurry for a wet paper making process or to undergo a dehydrating press. Such slurry is then dried by a hot air of about 100 deg.C and turned into a dry sheet. This sheet is formed into a diaphragm of a desired shape. This diaphragm excels in both the heat resistance and water resistance.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate printing stain and to enhance printing resistance, by using a mixture of an organic soloxane and a speicifed alkoxysilane containing epoxy groups, and tetraalkoxytitanate or tetraalkoxyzirconate. CONSTITUTION:A compound (component B) represented by formula I in which R is 3-18C organic group containing epoxy group, (a) is 2 or 3, X is 1-8C alkoxy, and a compound (component C) represented by formula II in which R1-R4 are 1- 12C hydrocarbon, and M is Ti or Zr, are mixed with an organic siloxane component A. A weight ratio of component A/component B is 99/1-50/50 and the mixture is dissolved in a solvent, and component C is added in the following weight ratio: (A+B)/C=100/0.1-100/10. This solution is coated on a substrate, such as paper, or plastic film, dried in the air, and further dried in hot air to prepare a photosensitive lithographic master material. Use of this material permits a sharp image free from printing stain to be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve background staining resistance, printability and desensitizing characteristics by preparing a desensitizing ink composition for pressure-sensitive recording paper wherein a tack value at 32 deg.C is 8-20 and viscosity at 25 deg.C is 500-2500 poise by compounding a desensitizer, a resin pigment and a physical property control agent. CONSTITUTION:A desensitizing ink composition containing a desensitizer, a resin, pigment and a physical property control agent and characterized by that a tack value at 32 deg.C is 8-20 and viscosity at 25 deg.C is 500-2500 poise is prepared. As the physical property control agent, a surfactant not compatible with the resin and partially or wholly compatible with the desensitizer and having HLB of 13-16 is pref. The ratios of respective components of the desesitizing ink composition are not especially limited but pref. adjusted so that the densensitizer is 20-50wt.%, the resin is 10-30wt.%, the pigment is 20-40wt.% and the physical property control agent is 5-20wt.%. The method for preparing this desensitizing ink composition is not especially limited and an appropriate usual method is used. That is, the desensitizing ink composition is prepared by a method wherein the desensitizer, the resin, the physical property control agent are heated and melted if necessary and the pigment is kneaded with the molten mixture using three rolls.
