    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive to stabilize the formability and taste characteristics of this film by a method wherein the particle density of a layer mainly made of a polyester B arranged on at least one side of a layer mainly made of a polyester A. SOLUTION: The preferable melting points of a polyester A and/or a polyester B, which are normally obtained by polycondensation-reacting a dicarboxylic acid component such as a terephthalic acid or the like and a glycol component such as an ethylene glycol or the like are 246 deg.C or higher from the view points of taste characteristics and heat resistance. Further, the preferable difference between the melting point of the polyester A and that of the polyester B is 10 deg.C or less. In order to realize the excellent formability, especially the adhesion between the film and a metal plate after retorting, the long term stability after forming, the particle density of internal particle or the like within the surface mainly made of the polyester B must be below 500 ppm. The particle density is more preferably below 300 ppm, since the separation of the film from the metal plate by retorting can be more suppressed. If the particle density exceeds beyond the above-mentioned range, particles play the role of the nuclei of crystallization and the crystallization at lamination or at forming is accelerated, resulting in developing the easy separation between the film and the metal plate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture properly a polyester film for deposition suitable for demonstrating the gas barrier properties of oxygen and water vapor of the polyester film for transparent deposition, and use the film widely for food packaging. SOLUTION: A biaxially oriented polyester film is composed of polyester of melting point of 250-280 deg.C as a main component, and provide with a fusion sub-peak (Ts) of the film of 210-245 deg.C, a planar orientation coefficient of 0.155-0.18, a birefringence (Δn) in the film longitudinal direction and the width direction of (-0.04)-(-0.005) and a centerline average roughness (Ra) of at least one face of 0.005-0.03 μm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with severe molding together with excellent moldability, heat resistance as a packaging material and to perform excellent adhesive properties, impact resistance or the like by setting a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of a surface orientation coefficient in a specific range of a film to a specific value or below, and specifying the coefficient. SOLUTION: After a polyethylene terephthalate is sufficiently vacuum dried, melt extruded, and brought into close contact with a casting drum, thereby forming an unoriented sheet. Then, the sheet is sequentially biaxially oriented to a biaxially oriented film. Here, spots when brought into contact with the drum and oriented are suppressed, and a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of a surface orientation coefficient in a range of square of 20 cm of a film is set to 0.007 or below. Further, orienting conditions, heat treating conditions are set to suitable ranges, and hence a mean surface orientation coefficient in the same range is set to 0.11 to 0.15. Thus, excellent moldability, impact resistance and further a long term preservability can be provided.
