    Abstract: Polyester films of the present invention are especially used for packaging material, and particularly to polyester film that is preferably used for a food packing container and the like by coloring polyester film with organic pigment. A first polyester film of the present invention contains organic pigment of 0.01 to 5 weight % having a molecular weight of 695 to 1000 in a polyester resin. A second polyester film of the present invention is composed mainly of ethylene terephthalate units, having a polyester resin layer (A) made of polyester resin containing copolymerized compounds of 1.5 to 8 mole % and, moreover, containing of organic pigment of 0.01 to 5 weight % and ethylene terephthalate cyclic trimer of 0.2 to 0.9 weight % in the layer (A).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a biaxially oriented polyester film comprising at least three polyester resin layers A1/B/A2, and having a melting point in the range of 246 to 270°C, wherein the major component of the layer A is polyethylene terephthalate and the stress at 100% elongation in the film's longitudinal direction and width direction at 150°C and 200°C meets the following equations: 2 ‰ (F100 MD +F100 TD ) ‰ 100 and 1 ‰ F100 TD ‰ 60. The invention provides a film that has a high dimensional stability at high temperatures to permit uniform metal deposition, suffers little change in appearance during thermoforming, and serves for easy production of formed parts that closely meet the shape of the die when subjected to low-stress forming.

    Abstract: In order to provide a polyester film having superior impact resistance and flex pinhole resistance, and further exhibiting superior gas barrier properties after a metal or metal oxide is deposited on the film, with the inherent characteristics of polyester film maintained, such as low hygroscopicity, dimensional stability, flatness, and transparency, the polyester film comprises a mixture of 70% to 97% by weight of polyester A mainly composed of a repeating unit comprising ethylene terephthalate and 3% to 30% by weight of polyester B mainly composed of a repeating unit comprising butylene terephthalate. The polyester film has a melting point in range of 245 to 270 DEG C. The polyester film may comprise a polyester resin containing 90% to 60% by weight of an ethylene terephthalate component, 10% to 40% by weight of a butylene terephthalate component, and 0.1% to 5% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene glycol component. The polyester film is suitably used for packaging and other applications.

    Abstract: Biaxially-drawn polyester film for fabrication which is characterized in that it is a film comprising polyester in which ethylene terephthalate units and/or ethylene naphthalate units are the chief structural component, and the melting point of said film is 180-270.degree.C, the angle of contact to water is 70.degree.-120.degree., and the planar orientation coefficient is 0.08-0.15. This film shows outstanding release properties following repeated use, use after fabrication and use in an aqueous environment and, furthermore, it exhibits stable properties with little variation and, in particular, following lamination to metal sheet such as steel or aluminium, when used as the inner face of a fabricated metal can, it is outstanding in its non-stick properties to the contents, and provides a combination of heat resistance and processability.
