Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element having high luminescence efficiency, high luminance, and superior color purity. SOLUTION: The light-emitting element is constituted of an element, which a luminescence substance exists in between a positive pole and a negative pole, and emits light through electrical energy, and this luminescence substance contains the organic fluorescent substance expressed by general formula (1). Here R1 to R10, are respectively chosen from among hydrogen, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, aralkyl group, alkenyl group, cycloalkenyl group, alkyinyl group, hydroxyl group, mercapto group, alkoxy group, alkyl-thio group, aryl- ether group, aryl-thio-ether group, aryl group, heterocyclic-ring group, halogen, haloalkane, haloalkene, haloalkine, cyano group, aldehyde group, carbonyl group, carboxyl group, ester group, carbamoyl group, amino group, nitro group, cyril group, and siroxyanyl group, and R3 to R10 may respectively form ring structures between adjoining substitution groups.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red color light emission element which is excellent in color purity and has high utilization efficiency of electric energy. SOLUTION: The light emission element in which a light emission material exists between an anode and a negative electrode, and emits light having a peak wavelength of 580 nm or more to 720 nm or less by electric energy, and an element contains a compound which has a pyromethene skeleton shown in a formula (1), or its metal complex. Here, at least one of R1-R4 is an aromatic ring or aromatic ring vinyl group, and at least one part of these aromatic rings substituted with an alkyl, an alkoxy, an alyroxy, a thioether, an aralkyl, or cyril. Moreover, aromatic rings or R1-R4 and R5-R7 which are not an aromatic ring vinyl group may be same or differ from each other, respectively, and they are chosen from hydrogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, halogen, an alyl, an aralkyl, an alkenyl, an alyroxy, a heterocyclic, a cyano, an aldehyde, a carbonyl, an ester, a carbamoyl, an amino, and an aliphatic series ring. Although X1 is carbon or nitrogen, in the case of nitrogen, the above R7 does not exist.
