    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image having less fogging, line dropout and black- white dot pattern and to obtain a semi-transparent and sharp image having good contrast by applying a specific conductive film. CONSTITUTION:The surface on at least the conductive layer side of a plastic film is roughened to 0.5-20mum surface roughness, >=60% haze and 10-1,000sec smoothness on the roughened side. The surface electric resistance value of the conductive film 15 adjusted to 10 -10 OMEGA/sq. More preferably, the electrostatic recording film provided with the dielectric layer which consists of a high- polymer binder or the high-polymer binder and particles, contains 0-100pts.wt. particles per 100pts.wt. high-polymer binder, has 1-20mum surface roughness and 5-100sec smoothness is formed. Polyester is preferably used as the resin for the film.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a biaxially oriented film excellent in scratch resistance and the enhancement of image quality in a calender process and reduced in the lowering of image quality at the time of dubbing by specifying the ratio of en ethylene terephthalate or ethylene terephthalate or ethylene naphthalate component and film density. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented polyester film for a magnetic recording medium contains 70% or more of ethylene terephthalate and/or ethylene naphthalate and has density of 0.2-1.3g/cm . From the aspect of dubbing resistance and scratch resistance, both of the breaking strengths in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the film are pref. 8kg/mm or more and the sum of the Young's moduli in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the film is pref. 500kg/mm or more.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent surface damage and obtain excellent image quality and drop-out characteristics by using org. particles having specific deformation strength to set the surface orientation, lateral strength and surface roughness of a film to specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented film contains org. particles with 10% deformation strength S10 of 1-30kgf/mm . As the org. particles, divinyl benzene particles or silicone particles are pref. used. Further, the surface orientation An (=nMD-nTD) of the biaxially oriented film is set to 0. 1-0.3 or more from dabbing resistance and scratch resistance and the lateral strength -5(TD) thereof is set to 11kg/mm or more and the surface roughness Rt/Ra of at least single surface thereof is set to 20 or more. By this method, the surface of the film is hardly damaged and excellent image quality and drop-out characteristics can be obtained as a magnetic medium.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a film optimum to a base material for a video tape excellent in high speed cutting properties and electromagnetic conversion characteristics, in a biaxially oriented laminated polyester film having a two- layered laminated structure, by adding internal precipitation type particles to at least one layer. CONSTITUTION:In a biaxially oriented laminated polyester film having a two- layered laminated structure, internal precipitation type particles are added to at least one layer (A). That is, 0.05-2wt.% of flocculated particles A with a primary particle size of 5-200nm selected from alpha-alumina particles, zirconia particles, silica particles and titanium particles are added to one layer (A). 0.05-10wt.% of particles B with an average particle size of 0.05-3.0mum selected from calcium carbonate particles, mono-dispersed silica particles, divinyl benzene particles and silicone particles may be added to one layer (A). By this constitution, the biaxially oriented laminated polyester film optimum to a base material for a video tape excellent in high speed cutting properties and electromagnetic conversion characteristics is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a label having a sufficient mechanical characteristic and water resistance and rarely removed and easy to peel off when used as the label of a food bottle by using a polyester film having a specific water absorption coefficient as a base material. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film having the water absorption coefficient of 0.5% or above is used as a base material for this label. The steam transmission factor of this polyester film is preferably set to 8g/m .24 hr/0.1mm or above. The polyester mainly made of an aromatic dibasic acid and a glycol is used, terephthalic acid is used for the dibasic acid, and ethylene glycol is used for the glycol. The aromatic dicarboxylic acid component having metal sulfonate, polyether, and aliphatic polyester are preferably copolymerized to apply the water absorption property to the polyester film, and the copolymerization ratios are preferably set to 0-20wt.% respectively against the polyester of a reaction product material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a copolyester composition excellent in flavor retention, adaptability to can manufacture, and heat and impact resistances by mixing a copolyester with a polyoxyalkylene glycol component, elemental germanium and inorganic or organic particles in a specified mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:The composition is obtained by mixing a copolyester composition mainly consisting of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a glycol with 0.05-20wt.%, based on the above composition, polyoxyalkylene glycol component, 1.0-500ppm of elemental germanium, and 0.01-5wt.% inorganic and/or organic particles of a mean particle diameter of 0.01-10mum. This composition is excellent in adaptability to can manufacture, flavor retention, and heat and impact resistances, especially in adaptability to can manufacture and flavor retention, and can be desirably used for a metallic can produced by molding.
