    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a long-sized water-permeable sheet having a stable gap by drop-coating a fluid resin compsn. onto a base material from above and resticking the compsn. flowing from the gap by a rotating body under the base material. CONSTITUTION:When a fluid resin is drop-coated from a feeder 3 above a base material 1, the fluid resin comps. flows down from the gap part of the material 1. A rotating body 4 rotating at roughly the same speed and in the same direction as the speed and direction of the material 1 is provided beneath the material 1 to restick the flowing-down fluid resin compsn. to the bottom surface. Since the compsn. is thus coated at the same degree and with the share of the low level, the long-sized water-permeable sheet having a stable gap is produced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber reinforced-material for the plate of a lead acid battery which is highly homogeneously dispersed in a paste made of an active-material powder, by attaching a nonion surface active agent of a polyethylene glycol type to short polyester fibers. CONSTITUTION:A nonion surface active agent of a polyethylene glycol type is attached to short polyester fibers with a length of about 0.5-10mm. and a size of about 1-10 denier to obtain a fiber reinforced-material for the plate of a lead acid battery. The nonion surface active agent of a polyethylene glycol type is, for example, a higher alcohol added with ethylene oxides, an alkyl phenol added with ethylene oxides, a fatty acid added with ethylene oxides, or the like. Here, the amount of the surface active agent is about 0.1-1.0wt% of the short polyester fibers.
