    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a wide and extremely thin resin film for a low resin weight per unit area prepreg for manufacturing a molded body of good quality and quality level generating a small amount of resin loss and provide its manufacturing method and also manufacture a low resin weight per unit area prepreg of good quality level using the film. SOLUTION: Resin of 50 cm width or more is applied on a release sheet in the setting of the 20 g/m average weight per unit area or less and at 100% weight per unit area unevenness or less and the volatile content is 4 wt.% or less for the manufacture of a resin film for manufacturing a prepreg, and a prepreg using the film and the manufacturing methods for the film and the prepreg are also provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectually and economically burn carbon fibers, mixtures of carbon fibers and matrix resin, and cured products of the mixtures by adding a compound containing one kind or more of metals selected from a group containing alkali metals, alkali rare earth metals, and transition metals by a specific amount to carbon fibers. CONSTITUTION:A compound containing one kind or more of metals selected from a group comprising alkali metals, alkali earth metals, and transition metals is added to carbon fibers by 100ppm or more calculated in terms of the metal element. For adding metal or a metal compound to an article to be burned, a compound of the metal with a hydroxyl group and various metal salts such as acetic acid salts is sprayed as an aqueous solution or in the state of a water dispersion. In order to minimize any danger of a burning furnace, a weak alkali metal compound is preferably used thereamong. Hereby, carbon fibers or a carbon fiber reinforced resin mixture are economically and effectually burned in a short time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce frictional resistance and obtain yarns drawable at a high ratio with little fluff, surface flaw, uneven fineness, etc., by giving ultrasonic vibration to a guide for deflecting yarn running direction in a coagulation bath in dry jet-wet spinning of a polymer. CONSTITUTION:A polymer solution is extruded, run in a gas once and then led to a coagulation bath in a dry jet-wet spinning process. In the process, ultrasonic vibration at 20-40kHz frequency is normally given to a guide for deflecting yarn running direction normally provided just under a spinneret in the coagulation bath, preferably 2.5-15mm curvature radium to afford the aimed yarns. This process is useful in the dry jet-wet spinning process for an acrylonitrile based polymer, containing >=90% acrylonitrile and used for carbonizing raw material fibers requiring particularly high-degree of uniformity.
